PS3/X360 versions - do they even exist?!

Yes, our living in Brazil isn't much good. Our country is being ruined by a bunch of Latin socialists with a speech of "we are of the people" that almost sounds like something from a parody of socialist dictatorships. There's no better description for our country right now than parody (and for most of the Latin America, as a matter of fact). Seeing is believing, they say, and if I lived anywhere else than Latin America I also wouldn't believe that it's possible for such things to still exist in 2015 (and that it is possible for people to be fooled by that BS). So imagine how it is when your income isn't good, you have lots of bills to pay and you're both a musician and a gamer - pedals, cables and so on aren't cheap, they also suffer from the same kind of problem of overtaxing as consoles. To pay more than a grand on a console is not something that you'll do laughing since that money is precious. But I can't say that I'm feeling the eagerness to buy a new console right now even if I had the money. Maybe because of our economical situation or maybe because that's just the way I am, I've never been the kind of person who goes nuts when a new console is out. The last time I cared about that was in the PSX days, because the difference between my SNES (which I still treasure to this day, by the way) and the new 3D system was huge. I still play text-only and DOS games, so it's not like I care about how they look as long as they have "meat" to chew on. I never cared for looks in my whole life, so it's not like I would care for it when it comes to games.

As for MK, I agree with a lot of points given but I still don't agree with the overall "it's irrelevant" feeling. A PS2 version would be irrelevant, but the PS3 and 360 are still being sold and games are still coming out, even if not as much as it did before. They still move unities and that's exactly why it was decided that there would be work on a last gen version. Obviously the main version is the newer one, I never stated the opposite, but since they decided they would release a PS3/360 version and got it available for pre-order it's almost a lack of respect for players to just delay it without notice and never release any kind of information on the final product. I know mobile gaming is huge these days, but I don't see why a last gen console version would be irrelevant when they can even do more than they can with the mobile one. If they can show a video for the portable version, of course they can do the same for the bigger one. I'm just expecting a bit of respect as a customer, it's not about it being as good as the PS4/X1 product.
 
I've just made a phone call to PlayStation Gamer Support,I was told that the PlayStation 3 is not going anywhere not for a while,because the newer PS3 models came out since 2011/2013 like the 160GB,250GB all the way up to 500GB,from the way I see it,the PS3 isn't going nowhere
 
Someone at WB or NRS needs to be fired over this. Some manager preferably. I said what I think about this whole thing several times in multiple threads. The way WB/NRS are acting is wrong. Period. They should have never announced these versions to begin with. Then there wouldn't be any harsh feelings and let down customers. It's their game and their logo will be on the box no matter who ported it. If they can't work on it personally, they should find a studio that can. A studio that is reliable and will deliver. My impression is they just started porting the game and up till now they were doing literally nothing. Otherwise they would have shown at least one screenshot by now or given some info. The whole time they're acting as if the ports don't exist. WB doesn't comment. NRS doesn't comment. High Voltage doesn't comment. Even the mobile version is better treated. WTF is this?

I wanted to buy it for the PS3, but I cancelled my pre-order. This is unacceptable. Especially for the full price.
 
For what it's worth, Amazon UK still has all console versions stated as being released on April 14th.

They're coming out on April 14th. I have the proof right here thanks to my Official GameStop App.

Unless a reputable source says otherwise, the previous gen ports are coming out April 14th on schedule.

Warner Bros is the entity to blame. NRS, from the beginning has made it as clear as it can be that they have nothing to do with the last gen versions. WB likely just wanted to cash in on the last gen install base and outsourced the port. In all likelihood High Voltage chose to focus on getting the PC version out the door first (if the last gen versions are even delayed at all).

This is also one of the reasons they push pre-orders so hard. They use it as a pre-release metric to gauge interest. If they get the numbers back and see that last gen pre-orders are trailing current gen/PC pre-orders by a large margin, they make the call to allocate resources accordingly.

We are all fans, and we are the reason the franchise has succeeded for so long, but a caveat we have to make is accepting that these games don't get made for free. WB invests tens of millions of dollars into the title, they are entitled to do what they have to ensure the largest return on investment.
 
So you'd rather not play it all than play it late? And you want someone to be fired because porting a game to inferior machines is difficult?

I still don't see the point of having past gen versions if the next gen consoles are becoming more popular and are taking over house holds soon. I don't remember anyone in 2008 asking for MKvsDCU to be on the PS2 and Xbox.

Why do you care? NRS is working full body on the next gen versions. Nothing is being gimped because of last gen.
 
A standard salary in Argentina is around 7000 pesos, and a PS4 costs around 9500 pesos. So no, I don't have a PS4 lol

I already preordered the game for PS3, so it seems I'll have to wait...


1 dollar is around 9 or 10 pesos, so a PS4 is around a thousand dollars, that's a lot of money here.

No, seriously, that's a theft with all its letters, but I know almost every tech thing in Argentina is overpriced to hell. I'm from Chile (greetings) and PS4 here is almost 600-700 dollars in big shops, but you can find it by 400-500 dollar in second hand websites in mint or near mint condition, in some cases, even sealed.

I have plans for my future so, a new console is not a priority now :( I'll have to wait for a PS3/360 version if it see the light someday, unless my girlfriend want to collaborate with a new console :P

By the way, what's going on with PC version? Someone has said something about it?
I'll wait for a graphic comparison near-to-sale video between new-gen, past-gen and PC, otherwise, I'll assume that only the PS4 and Xbox One versions exists.

Guys I think I found something that is really important.

In the Cage Family Trailer, I realized that when they showed the release date, they only had Xbox One, PS4, Steam and Mobile devices listed for April 14th.

I've got to add, I'm reading everywhere that the game has been delayed until June 30th for last gen consoles.

2 and a half months more... I guess we've got to wait a bit longer...
 
That's gotta suck MAJOR dick. So close to the release date to have it delayed for another 2 and half months.
I'd probably try to put myself in a coma to ease the pain.
 
Delays for last gen happen all the time. Shadow of Mordor is the only one that really comes to mind. But that's what happens during gen shifts.
 
I'm telling you guys, the previous gen delay rumors are bullshit. The PS3 and 360 ports are being released the same day as PS4 and XBone, and I already posted photograpic proof on post #66 of this thread to back it up.
