Good job with your "photograpic" proof. You also misspelled photographic btw.
That was posted before the fact and you know it... What gave you the logic to STILL use it against me anyway despite the fact that it was indeed before the fact is beyond me.

The game is definitely completed, the trouble is downgrading it to work on last gen machines while still being of sound quality.

It'll be a lame move if they release the game in it's pure form must be a komplete version or something because oldgen players will see so many spoilers in this four months. Yeah you can avoid spoilers in one way turn off your internet don't buy game magazines. But if you get spoiled the game will lose it's magic. ("Yeah I've seen this at the internet before, now how can skip it :/ " ) or something like that.

Maybe they will give something for free, but don't expect Complete Edition in June, if it's coming in June because NRS said "summer".
It's strange how things turn, after waiting 2 years for MK9 to come to PC and more than half year for Injustice, MKX is coming to PC same as next-gen.

It sucks for ppl who still play on PS3/360 but 2 months is not that much and if it's a GOOD port than imo it's ok, but still i feel bad for ppl that pre-ordered it!

Yes, And some more trustful sources like Gamespot already confirmed too. Some twitter accounts dedicated to Mortal Kombat Content are all saying the ps3/360 game was in fact delayed to june.

Probably they're trying to improve it. that's the only reason i can think of. but i already decided. I will only play it as soon as can afford my PS4. Won't give it a shot to the prev gen version.

You want to know the most likely reason? They just started working on the port and never planned to release in April in the first place. That's how most of the companies act these days anyway. NRS are doing the PS4/XONE/Mobile versions, HVS are working on PS3/PS4/PC. The PC version will be out first with next-gen because it is the easiest port since it is almost a 1:1 copy. The PS3/X360 ports take more time, because they have to downscale the graphics. However, even that doesn't take long. 2-3 months is enough time for it. But the thing is this... going back to the first sentence... The game went gold... when? Mid-February, right? A port in general usually takes those 2-3 months. Now, HVS probably had to wait until the game was finished to start porting it. That makes sense because the game's constantly changing. So they waited till February and started working on the PC port first because it's easier. They know that at this point PC is more important than PS3/X360. But HVS are a small company. They can't work on 3 ports at once. And this is the result and the reason they haven't release any screenshots yet. I think that bad communication and management are to blame for the whole situation. I think that the port will be okay, but waiting 2 months sucks. Were it a small game without any story and minimum features people wouldn't make a fuss about it. You can't stay spoiler-free for 2 months unless you disconnect from the internet. They should have communicated more between each other and mainly with the players. Their attitude is what sucks and what ticks people off. Even the statement they made today is plain cold. It's like "Yeah, it's coming out later. So what? Deal with it". People pre-ordered it, for the full price, not knowing what they're getting, because they're loyal fans and a month before release they get this? Not even an apology? Really?

It's a shame that NRS won't say anything and give official info!
I really think that this version will be a crap and you guys should avoid it and don't buy it for a full price!

I second this.
The MKX PS3 edition will likely be a disappointment. I'll be waiting to buy a PS4 for that.

Ok no komplete edition, but they must include all the previously released DLC-s or make a pack from them with reduced price. I'm not against the next-gen consoles but I don't want them until their second versions (slim, light) has been released. The price doesn't matters but that's my side of view, I'll play it on PC and would like to see on PS3 so in this case I'm still very disappointed about the delay of release. Imo if they (HVS) working on the current gen release they can show us something one screenshot is enough we don't want the "whole world" :\ . I think current gen can handle the graphics really well but with reduced resolution AA and lower framerate for example GOW on PS is "only" 720p .

I just want NRS to make the official announcement. Maybe they will on the stream today.

NRS isnt working on it, they have no business announcing it. WB would announce it. Mortal Kombat is a property owned by Warner Bros, it is NOT NRS property. Its astounding to me that the bears repeating for the 10,000th time. NRS has done nothing but say WE ARE NOT WORKING ON LAST GEN VERSIONS. Since E3 2014 when the game was announced. Countless interviews over the course of the year questions about last gen versions were asked. NRS response was always the same "We are only working on current gen versions". NRS creates the game and the code gets shipped off to high voltage to try and shoehorn it onto nearly decade old hardware.

Respawn didnt announce that Titanfall on 360 got delayed, MS did. Because the port wasn't Respawn's game.

EDIT:

BUT I completely understand the frustration. To have the hype and build up and the game be so close to release only to find out you have another two months of waiting. That blows. But NRS doesnt owe you an explanation for something they have nothing to do with.

Its like asking the GM dealer to explain why the Chevy dealer screwed you. Same parent company, two different products.

Seriously? It's still Netherrealm Studios's game, is it not? High voltage didn't write the story for MKX, Netherrealm Studios did. High Voltage didn't design each character in MKX, Netherrealm Studios did. High Voltage is simply the company that has to port Netherrealm Studios's game to the last gen consoles. So, I still expect an explanation from Netherrealm Studios and/or WB if the rumors about their game are true.

NRS has absolutely no say in what kind of press releases they do on these sort of things. It's 100% WB's job to mop up messes like this.

Nrs has nothing to do with old gen and i dont blame them. They are trying to make the best game possible. They cant if they are limiting themselves to make something work for 10 year old hardware. Just save up and get a next gen console you still have a month.

No. I'm not about to go pay $400 for a console so I can be happy with one game. I'm not going to do that to myself. My PS3 is perfectly fine and is capable of playing many games still. Why do I need to go buy a new console when I have one that still works?

At the end of the day, it's just a video game. There are more important things in life. If don't want to buy a ps4 for whatever reason, that's fine. Don't feel obligated to explain yourself to us because you don't have to. A simple "because I don't want one" will suffice

The discussion was going along nicely, there's no need to make it go down the drain with the usual "get a new console" talk. Seriously, that wasn't my point when I created this thread and still isn't, I just wanted to make it clear. Of course you're free to reply as you wish - it's a forum, after all - but it feels like the topic is being derailed with an useless discussion.

Maybe you want to give people some money out of good will since it's so important for others to get newer consoles even when the economic situation in their country is messed up (no offense)? Save up and buy a console that costs more than a minimum wage when even the most basic stuff like food takes, like, almost half of the income - in a month?! That must be a joke. Nevertheless, the point of the discussion wasn't "to get or not to get a new console", and the answer to this mess also isn't "get a new console" (hello, the game will be released for last gen, so why should anyone buy a PS4 if they're OK with a smaller version?). We have an answer already, we know that it'll be delayed. It's awful that we won't get to experience the story as it's still fresh, but at least we'll get it. We're just discussing how poorly this issue was handled, be it NRS, WB or even The friggin' Pope's fault. Some customers feel that they deserved better treatment and you know what? They're right, as someone decided that a last gen version would be released and the customers are paying for it. But of course, it's always easy to say "whatever, save up some money by not eating and paying your bills and buy a new, overtaxed console in a month".

Don't take me wrong, please. I just don't think it'll go anywhere with such small thinking. Customers have a right to discuss a situation poorly handled as this one, and telling them that the answer to the problem is spending unnecessary money isn't the way, after all you're also a customer and eventually you may find yourself in a similar position - and I'm sure you wouldn't like to hear that it was your "fault" if something like that were to happen. Professionalism is due all the same if you pay for one version or the other. I also reiterate that the gap between PS3/360 and PS4/X1 isn't as huge as it once was in the gaming world. A nice last gen engine for this game is already available, it's nothing more than their job to build MKX upon that foundation, which is entirely possible. No one's asking them to make a 1:1 copy of the current gen game (and I don't even care for the new graphics). They took on such responsibility and customers paid/will pay for it and would like to get more respect and updates when it comes to the product they're buying, that's it.
PS.: Mr. Ice nailed the issue.

Couldn't agree more with u. Their attitude was and still is extremely disrespectful with the loyal fans! and to think that i almost pre-ordered it a couple days ago.

Yes, seriously. Again, I understand and empathize that you are bummed. Nor do I blame you. I am not telling you to buy a new system either. But Nethereaml being the creators of the game doesn't change the fact that what I said is true. NRS cannot take responsibility for something they have no control of. None whatsoever. NRS delivered what they were working on, on time, as expected.

Update: The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X have been delayed worldwide to this summer, a representative for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed to Polygon today. High Voltage Software, not NetherRealm Studios, is developing Mortal Kombat X on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as Windows PC. The PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions are still set to launch April 14.

You got your confirmation from WB.

and its their fault that you wont pay for the latest and greatest? They are supposed to feel sorry for you right? Also the gamecube, n64, dreamcast, sega genesis are all still capable of playing many games. They should still make games for them to right just because its a game system that can play games. I had a old color tv that worked fine. I shouod be able to play ps4 on it which is hdmi only just because my 20 year old tv still works right? See how idiotic you sound? Mkx would not be what it is if they worried about making it fir last gen. Thats why NRS wanted nothing to do with it. Wb probably forced the port.
