People not knowing how to play the priest class in Warcraft properly grinds my gears.
The other day, I'm playing as one of my low alts and I have a priest that's healing us. When a mob is targeting them, they perform "fear" to make them run away. Of course, when they run away, if they head into the direction of other mobs that have yet to be aggroed by us, they'll get aggroed and attack us. Thus, causing our group to wipe.
Priests have an ability called Fade, which changes the target of the enemy off of them and onto another person of the party. They've had this ability since level 24 and they're 74. I don't want to hear "I didn't know I have that ability," because that is a bullshit excuse.
As a vanilla player who mains a priest, this gets really freaking annoying in which it makes me want to go hop back onto my priest and show them, "This is how you properly play as a priest."
Of course when I asked if they have Fade, the person didn't answer. I ended up creating a "Vote to kick" and got him to leave the group. The rest of the players agreed that they were a piss poor healer since they used fear instead of fade. This isn't rocket science, you literally have every move telling you what it does when you hover your curser over the icon.
I'm going to add to this with another issue I really hate in WoW and that's when I see people getting carried. Two instances I encountered where someone was getting carried. NO ONE likes when someone is doing that to their character when you're doing an instance run with four random people.
Once I had a hunter carrying a rogue who was on follow the entire time. The moment I asked if they were going to participate, the hunter replied that they're AFK (away from keyboard). Please don't queue up then. The warrior in the group didn't like that he was basically carrying someone. So he leaves. My boyfriend and I were trying to reason with the hunter that this is basically ridiculous. So the hunter decides to start grabbing every enemy to make us wipe. The moment she and her AFK husband were about to get kicked, she grabs more enemies. I hate that you cannot specifically report them for doing that because it's the dumbest move ever.
Again today, another carried rogue is following the tank. He gets kicked from the group and the tank goes, "Good call" and leaves. Seriously? You're playing with three other people who wants to have every member in the group to participate. If you seriously want to carry someone, ask your guild to queue up. I am not responsible for helping someone who doesn't do jack shit in the group. That is not how I play.
You want to waste $15 per month doing nothing but being one cheap idiot? Be my guest, but do not include me. I will not tolerate it and I will act as a douche to get my way to stop that.
