Should Hydro ever be considered as a character for MK10?

No. It's a shit concept. There's already someone with water and lightning powers-Rain, duh. I do agree they need new characters. But they definitely need to branch AWAY from the ninja type. Mortal Kombat is wayyyyy too saturated with ninjas.

i agree with you sorta. there is lots of ninja characters. like why does there have to be so many sub-zeroISH characters. theres sub-zero, sub thats now noob, cyber sub, frost, and now they all want hydro. lol. and if im correct in sareena's ending in mka she gains the ability to freeze. TOO MANY ICE CHARACTERS. why not another scorpion or whatever?

Yeah, I'd add him -- give him a brand new and unique Cyber model and add him to the game. Even if the elements are already covered by other people, he can use them differently. After all Liu Kang, Shang Tsung and Scorpion all use fire.

What about earth and wind?

Wind is not present in MK9, and Earth was never present in the series...

Well you got Fujin for wind and there's a good chance he'll be in the next game so thats covered and i guess no one has Earth just yet unless captain planet comes out for dlc but what I'm saying is why does a new character always have to be a ninja type with an elemental power? Just because people share powers already doesn't mean they should keep doing it. Just like some elevators play Celine Dion but that doesn't make it ok. MK should keep coming out with original looking characters with original powers. Take Kabal for instance, I think he is awesome cause no other character has his speed and he specializes with hookswords which no one else does (Mavado doesn't count) and he's something completely different then being another ninja.

Hasn't anyone thought about the problem a robot full of electronic stuff would have with water? :)
Besides, I think Tremor is a much cooler and unique elemental ninja which could've been the perfect 4th DLC instead of
that lame version of Freddy (with that peanut sized head of his).

Im suprised this thread still goes on, but you guys are missing the point. Hydro doesnt use water or lighting, its electricity. Now he doesnt use it like LIGHTING BOLT! or THUNDER CLOUD! It can be used as part of phsyical combat. Like lets say, some special punch kick headbutt ect. In conclusion, electricity isnt overused at all, whenether the less the green charge/kick that Jade/ Johnny/ Shao Kahn/ Nightwolf does is.

This is such a bad idea, it'd be laughable if I didn't disagree with it so strongly.

Come on people, what the hell happened to creativity?

How is Noob a "Subzeroish" character? dont come with "in the story he was..." f*** that, he is totally different gameplay wise, and thats what matters, and noone cares about a non-cannon ending, even less for an ending of a character that is not in the game.

Hydro for MK.

Nah, I don't think Sub-Rain should be considered as a character. I won't care if he is though.

I only support Hydro as a cyborg. I think its more fitting than another normal ninja, Hydro is Lin Kuei and it makes sense for him to be robotic.

A: Should have zero ice powers
B: Should not be anything like Rain

Id like to see more water moves out of him if he was brought in.

and he cant be a blue ninja or cyborg because of Sub-Zero. So i like this approach they did, a darker greyish blue with blue lights

I can see it now

Reporter -"So Ed Boon, what made you decide to put Hydro as DLC"
Boon - "well we wanted to try something new, and seeing how the web series is so popular, we decided to go and use a character that made a cameo there, and we also noticed some Hydro attention going on from forums, so we wanted to really please the fans as well"

STOP MENTIONING HYDRO. Like we really wanted Cyber sub in the first place too

I don't see a problem with adding Hydro, their are a number of people who should be prioritized being added in prior to Hydro, but it wouldn't hurt to consider him.

If anything, the time spent on Hydro, could be spent building up chars like Rain, personality and storywise.

I thought they reboot MK so we didn't have to deal with shitty characters, remember?
