Should Hydro ever be considered as a character for MK10?

I think Hydro could work as a cyborg. A cybernetic human that manipulates electricity from his components and flows his electricity through water so its like a combination of electricity and water in one character kind of like rain. Come up with a way to make this unique, like how Kenshi was made differently from Ermac in this game, and we would all see a pretty sweet character. Nightwolf probably wont make it in the next one and Boon doesn't even like Rain so hey you never know. The fact that "Hydro" has been shown at least on those episodes they released and other similar things over the years I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually tried it. I would rather see this over Tremor anyway, because Tremor is really not sweet. However creating an electric rain cloud or a water puddle and throwing some electric current under your foe would be a sweet way to kill your opponent, just sayin.

hydro is in mk 9 its a character by the name of rain.

it would be cool if they made hydro in to a new sub zero think about him a young kid a student of bi han and qui liang a out cast from the lin kuei a bad kid with a quick to act hot temper. out raged by the death and automation of his masters he has vowed vengeance against his fromer brothers the lin kuei.

awesome right that took me less then a min to think of but would be a way to bring back sub zero logically and and not be outlandish and crazy.

tell me what u guys think it could be cool i'm not a writer but if i was and i worked at nrs i would make this happen because i have never been a big fan of other fighters outside noob/scorpion using the resurrection angle in mk.

or they could combine some ice into hydro or sumthin n everyone can forget about cyber sub since he has so much negative feed back lol, but yeh this is a tricky one cuz of rain (who is in my top 3 overall of all time)

Hell yeh man. I just saw no one was really thinking positive about it. Just gotta think of a positive for ANY character ideas, and that's how sweet ones evolve into deeper more fulfilling ones that we actually see in the game.
 
he should definitely be a hidden DLC character thats very hard to find. he doesn't have lighting abilities or otherwise we'd call him cyber-rain. it was a electrical conduit im pretty sure other LK Units could do that but it looks cooler on hydro cause hes blue.
i like the one from mugen his moves and fatalities are cool
if hydro is in a upcoming title how would he differ from cyber subzero ?

Totally agreed with this post except Boon doesn't dislike Rain. He makes fun of Rain a lot and was being his usual trollish self when he made Rain (he admitted it his own self), but I think he actually likes the character a lot, at least a lot more than Tremor anyway.
 
I don't really want Hydro in any MK. Reminds me of pills (Hydrocodone) and pills are stupid.
Nah, In all honesty I think we have enough ninjas and robots for now.
 
I'd welcome him cause I love ninjas. I'm sure NRS can sit down and find more water moves to make him completely different than Rain. though, instead of Hydro I'd prefer either a) a White ninja, ghost or sun powers and/or, b) the sand ninja, not Tremor, someone made a thread about it recently but I'm too bored to find the link atm :P he made a really cool design for the ninja, it's a combo of ninja and desert warrior. dressed in brown and gold maybe and an egyptian theme going on and he'd be a killer character
 
Although I don't think these are bad ideas, I feel like no one is going outside the box of having powers over the elements. Since there's already characters who control each of the elements already, why not come up with something new and more iconic like scorpions spear, sindels hair, kanos knives etc. Cyrax and sektor are awesome cause they are capable of turning their arms into buzz saws and shooting missles. Like I said, I don't think these are bad ideas but everytime someone comes up with a new character or a reinvention of one, no one seems to go outside the box of having powers over the elements.

Haha yeh i love that interview where he says he quickly went in there and put rain in the MK3 title screen just to screw with people. For some reason I thought I heard along the line somewhere that he didnt even like Rain, but I'm glad he doesn't. Hopefully well see more of him then! :D

In case you were including me in there, I was just thinkin of random stuff to combine electricity and water for the Hydro thread since no one liked it and those are the two elements that would come most natural with him. I even said he would be very similar to Rain so just make him different. I didn't actually sit down and think or come up with anything. Last time I checked some people control alot of the same elements. But now Boon started making each character unique :)
 
I'd like to see Hydro (only as human) but when it comes to his move list I'm not sure how he can be all original & different than Sub-Zero & Rain.
 
Im sure Rain will be in the next game, Boon jokes about him all the time but deep inside he likes him, and he dont want to use fans to harass him again about adding Rain, im sure he will be from the start in MK10.

And please someone can link me to the last episode of Legacy? I coudlnt find it on youtube so I couldn't see the Hydro chapter.

Cause Sub Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Rain and Nightwolf aren't cheesy at all.

Anyway, I think Hydro would be great if they can give him a unique moveset and abilities.
 
Hydro is character of MK comicbooks. Lin Kuei, young friend of Sub-Zero. Not exactly his "padawan".
Killed by Scorpion.

He is infamous for being great character in Mortal Kombat Project (fanmade MK remake for MUGEN engine).
Hydro is playable as cyborg Lin Kuei controlling powers of water and ice. He borrows some tricks from Glacius (Killer Instinct alien) like dissolving himself and shaping his arms to cold weapons.

Great character and most popular MKP fan addition.

As DLC I am not sure. He is cool and whatever, but I would like to see Cyber Smoke and Tremor more. Another cyborg combining Sub-Zero's and Glacius's moves. He is in some way similar to Rain (cyborg + Rain + cold).
I still do not take the Cyber Sub Zero idea. They should know Hydro is popular, they are highly similar. They screwed Sub Zero instead :(

Terrible gameplay, but moves can be seen.
