Don't waste your breath man. We'll probably get bashed because we're speaking up against the crappy business practices. Looks to me most people on this board are pre-ordering three copies of the game...

That's what I'm thinking, because if you look at the press release, it says (I'm paraphrasing here) in addition to pre-ordering, players get Goro.
No offense my Dude but if you don't like it... Don't do it.
Simple as that. I'm not gonna be the ones ordering three editions, even I think it's asinine to a degree, but that doesn't mean I'm going to put down people who want to do it.
This is equivalent to the opposition of the legalization of weed, if you don't do it, why the hell does legalization affect you so much?

Actually, by doing it the way they have, I went from buying all three versions, to buying one.

I hope not. I'm a big slasher movie fan but I think Freddy in MK9 was enough. Let's give other guest characters a spot. It will be Soul Calibur doing Sci-Fi characters again after SC4. Besides Leatherface is own by Lionsgate. Lionsgate would have be to okay with him being in MKX.
Possible that Predator or Spawn could be in MKX since I would imagine Ed Boon gets a lot of tweets for them. Geralt from the Witcher series would be my possible bet. Witcher 3 and MKX are being released by WB games in the US and they come out in a similar time (MKX in April, Witcher 3 and MKX DLC in the summer). CD Projekt RED should be okay with him in MKX.

Just preordered the Import Edition for X1, going to preorder the Coarse edition for PS4....I don't own a PS4 though but I will eventually so might as well!

You don't think so? I'm buying the Coarse due to it's cheaper price but mainly because it has the Gold Scorpion Skin which is what I REALLY want. I could care less about statues, steelbooks and what not.
Then again, that's just me.
no just the four the only reason there were two extra is that people didn't want scopion and wanted mmh instead as for zatanna i dont know why was she added

But I disagree with your weed comparison. Consumers giving in constantly to horrible pre-order bonuses and overly expensive special editions does affect me.The situation is beginning to get ridiculous, even stretching to the point where now a character is being left out of MKX if you don't pre-order. Character skins is one thing but holding back a character completely sucks. Especially (like I said in a previous post) for those wanting to get the old-gen versions. WB has literally shown nothing concerning the old-gen ports. Asking fans to drop 60+ dollars on blind faith is a horrible idea in my opinion.
People just going with the flow and becoming used to these practices does affect me. It affects anyone who games. I shouldn't have to pre-order an item that will not be hard to find. I should just be able to walk into a store during a lunch break, and buy MKX the day it comes out. But if I do that, I'm automatically missing out on Goro. For the last game I'd be missing out on characters skins. It escalated between games, and when people give into promotions like that I'm of the opinion that it will probably escalate again. These practices effect us all whether you want to see it or not.
Now, I've said my peace and I won't bring it up again but I am just fearful to think what kind of promotions are going to happen in the future when consumers keep turning a blind eye to all these shenanigans.

Agreed with this certain part.
It's come to a point these days where you can't even walk into the store on release day and pick up the game without it being 100% complete.
You have to pre-order the game, or else spend $60 for the game + $5 later down the road to get Goro, otherwise.

Some more details would help, but from a company perspective sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut and let the fans tire themselves out.
