And I get where you're coming from Taj. That's why I'm kinda pissed at Warner Bros. Because I'm a diehard MK fan but I don't want to see these promotions run rampant. So I'm forced to choose between pre-ordering or waiting for a complete version of the game to release a year from now.

What really sucks is if I stick to my guns and wait, everything about the game will be spoiled for me I'm sure. This will royally blow...

I wish NRS would come out and say Goro will be available for free at some point by playing the game. Be it through a faction contest, where whatever faction has the most wins (or whatever) during a weekend gets Goro, or just good old fashioned elbow grease via the Challenge Towers. I would be completely okay with that because at least you wouldn't have to pay money for him if you missed out the first time.

I 100% get where you're coming from, but at the same time I'm pre-ordering the basic version of MKX for PS4 because I don't want to pay $5 for Goro later.
I'll get it included with the $60 pre-order.
I honestly think that it's bullshit that Goro is being held hostage, but at the same time I'm caught between a rock and a hard place because don't want to be at a disadvantage online against people who do have Goro, day 1.
 
Also anyone think this is the "Cold War" fan art version of Scorpion they might be offering?

That's the only fan art I could think of that could be rebranded "Cold War". The outfit is somewhat nuclear weapon themed so I'm thinking that could be it.

If that's it, all but cements that I don't need that skin. Not bad, but I'm good. Biohazard symbol seems kind of pointless
 
I don't know why people are upset that they pick Scorpion for the Collector's edition figure? I mean he's the mascot of the franchise after all. Scorpion to MK is what Nightmare is to Soul Caliber.

I can't speak for everyone, but I was personally hoping that there would be more variety with the MKX pre-orders, as was the case with MK9 (Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Kitana, Mileena pre-orders).
That's all.
I could care less for a Scorpion statue which serves no purpose for me, other than just sitting there collecting dust (at least the MK9 bookends were useful).
 
I wish they give us someone else for once like Sub-Zero but Scorpion is popular with casuals. People who know nothing about MK know that he is from MK. It's like how casuals know that Sweet Tooth is from Twisted Metal even if they never play the games. Unless I get over $100, I will likely skip out on my kollectors edition due to money reasons.

Does The Kombat Pack = 4 (time-released) DLC that we get immediate access to with that version of the game, or is that another way of saying DLC Season Pass?

It's DLC characters. Season Pass is a polarizing term
Here is what the press release says:The Kombat Pack, which includes access to four add-on playable characters from Klassic Kombatants to Iconic guest characters
We haven't started work on the DLC characters yet. When they get released post launch you get them. Just like the season pass of past

That's great news for me, because it means that I can just get the regular PS4 version and get the DLC later.

I like this much better. A ton of people got screwed of the Almighty MK1 Reptile skin because they didn't want to pre-order from Amazon and wait a day or two after release to get their copy. Same with people who didn't live by a Best Buy missing out on Sub-Zero

There was also Walmart and Target.
It's just more characters options, though, which was my point.
Not everyone faps over the same yellow ninja.

Tell me about it, I had to buy the the Blue-ray version of the Mortal Kombat Movie from Amazon.com just to get the MKT version of Jade's costume. The same can be said for the MK1 Reptile Skin.
 
I love it when you guys screw with each other's posts btw lol it always brings a smile to my face XD back during the Armageddon days people weren't nearly as entertaining or intelligent about their posts lol

the news about the Season Pass is great, even though I already put down the money for the European version it's good to know that others will be getting those characters down the road.
 
When they say iconic guest characters, does that mean that we get more then one? I wonder if the PS3/PS4 and 360/XO version will get their own iconic guest fighter or it will be on both systems? One guest fighter is good enough for me. MK9 had two because the 360 version had none and NRS most likely felt bad that the 360 owners got nothing.
