I have the 1943 serial series on DVD (it is 15 segments). It's actually pretty good, but the Batman costume is beyond laughable. Robin's is just as bad, and his mask looks like they just took a sleeping mask and put eye holes in it lolololololololol

Douglas Croft was really good as Robin. Burt Ward was a lot like him.

Still....I know it was 1943 and they just had to work with what they had...but, holy shit, the costumes, AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
 
I actually own that 40's batman on DVD. Got it at the mall a long time ago.

I had not heard of it at the time, and only bought it cause the DVD boxart looked kickass. Little did I know it was nothing like the box.

and then theres this random racist part in there where they mention rounding up asians of something
(it was during the war) Its been a while, but I laughed my ass off at that being in Batman of all things.
 
I laughed at the part where Batman is half hanging over the roof ledge and the other dude jumps off the building. I mean, wow, Batman had plenty of time to get up and stop him, but he just chilled out, hahaha
 
That B-man costume looks more like one of those silly devil costumes because of the ears. Haha...
 
Sky, your post makes me laugh, because, when I saw the cover, I thought WOW, THIS HAS COOL ANIMATION FOR THE 40'S, hahaha. I then turned it on and saw it was live action.

I am in to old black and white films so this was right up my alley. Still, the costumes...they make me shudder with disgust, lol.

I mean, Batman's wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the awful mask. The rest of it resembles Adam's.

Robin's would be better if they ditched the dark top and the terrible sleeping mask, lol.
 
I think Zack Snyder could pull off a new batman series actually. I'd like to see a batman movie that is visually stunning. I'm saying is, that I'd like there to be a live action Batman film where they could pull of something like this with the shadows.

Also more undercover detective work. Sorry, but tapping into everyone's cell phones in the Dark Knight isnt exactly master detective work like the character is known for.
 
Eh, the idea of Zack Snyder helming Batman doesn't really sit well with me, but I suppose he can pull it off if he can pull off Man of Steel

Poison Ivy had some terrible lines as well.


Fck it, the entire movie was full of garbage, they all had stupid lines.
 
I only enjoy watching Batman and Robin for the fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger is in it lol

Hate to see him play such an idiotic role though lol from Terminator to Mr. Ice Cubes.
 
Actually Arnold could have easily played a good Mr. Freeze. Cause Freeze is known for a having a cold and robotic personality, and guess who's world famous for playing a Robot? But no, instead they decided to make him a pun making idiot. For someone who's wife is about to die, he sure seems happy about life doesnt he? They made him more happy than the Joker. Freeze was far from the only thing wrong about that movie though.

But I'm not gonna lie, when that scene him in his pajamas singing "I'm Mr White Christmas, I'm Mr Snow" comes on, that shit does make me laugh. Probably cause you just have to stop for a second and think to yourself, "WTF is going on and why am I watching this?"
