Shao Kahn is an immortal. Remember the scene where Raiden used his electricity on him and the Elder Gods attacked Shao Kahn? All of those attacks didn't even phase Shao Kahn. The only time attacks phased Shao Kahn is when Shao Kahn violated the rule of Mortal Kombat

Except Liu Kang's attacks definitely did phase Shao Kahn. There's no arguing that.
And you remember that Raiden and the Elder Gods' attacking Shao Kahn came after he had violated the rules, right?

That was before they had established what the Netherrealm really is.
NRS finally got its story straight. Netherrealm is endless. The plot with Shao Kahn wanting to absorb it into Outworld was thankfully forgotten.

We already know the rise and fall.
The rise was Johnny Cage hitting on Sonya at the start of the tournament.
The fall was Sonya being a workaholic at the expense of her husband and daughter.

Man, I want to see Kenshi, period. How did he help Hanzo (apart from the half-thought out one-liners, pls). How did he break the Sento? Why is he possessed? What is he upto? We've seen some Mavado/Red Dragon involvement, but no word on him after the first comic
