whose your favorite match up?

I like facing people who are good with characters that people usually suck with. Like Baraka, Nightwolf, Sindel, Sheeva, Quan Chi, Jax, etc. I also like a really good Reptile VS Sub-Zero match. Both have slides and similar tactics, it turns into a chess game.
 
Sub-Zero, usually can't touch my Smoke, and Sindels and Sheevas are too easy (like Jade). /douchebaggery

In reality I liked playing good versions of all characters, even the purported bad matchups of Smoke like Raiden and Kung Lao are fun and challenging for me, Reptile is definitely a one on one I never get tired of and Mileenas are my bane so I the rare case I do beat Mileenas it makes me very happy.

yeh! i know ay, kinda ticks me off when people dont use him 'right' lol.
like not utilizing his mix up AT ALL, or not canceling into trance..

or going for 27% flashy combo, instead of a 17% reset that leads to wayyyy more..


i love quans smug,mocking laugh at the end of the round..lol
 
I like to face anyone who actually knows their character and doesn't resort to cheap tactics. It's not that I can't beat cheapness, it just takes the fun out of the game.

I always enjoy fighting against people who play characters I play to see how their tactics and combos differ from mine. And if it's a character I'm learning it is especially fun.

So for characters I mainly play: Sektor, Mileena, Kano, Scorpion, and Stryker.

Characters I'm learning/Want to learn: Sub-Zero, Noob, Kitana, Quan Chi, and Cyrax.
 
I really enjoy fighting other smokes to learn something new if anything.

My favorite match up has to be Smoke vs Ermac though. The guessing game keeps me on edge.
 
A lot can be learned from mirror matches.

You can find out what is easily punishable, so as to not repeat the same thing yourself. It's also interesting to see how other mirrors play. If they play well, I have a tendancy to absorb some of what they do, into my own game style.

I don't like easy matches. I like to be challenged, tested.
 
I like fighting Ermac and Smoke. It doesn't even matter which I character I use, I just like the matchup. Guess you can say I am less annoyed by them than most characters. Also, I like to fight a GOOD Liu Kang player. Not one that always does the same damn combo strings over and over again. "WA-WA-WA.. WA-WA-WA.. WA-WA-WA.. WA-WA-WA.. WA-WA-WA!" Wa-wa-Get out!!
 
I like fighting Skarlet and Kung Lao.
Sure, kung has a lot of good moves but I can usually spot them before they happen, and Cyber sub them hard :cool:
 
going up against Shang Tsung, my player's Kenshi knowing where he got blinded from makes for awesome match-ups, can't find many Shang Tsung players so fighting that ultra spammer Kung Lao is fun.
 
when I'm using kitana, I love fighting subs cuz I live zoning with iafs. I've been told I'm the best zoning kitana so its very hard for a sub, or anyone without a teleport to approach me.

When I'm mileena, I enjoy fighting kitana. I can overcome her zoning game with my teleport and I can outzone kitana.

when I'm johnny, this is weird, but I really like fighting cyrax. idk y, but I just love destroying cyrax players with johnny's insane rushdown game
 
I love fighting Liu Kang when I'm Subzero.
When he comes in for that flying kick, *bam* right in my Ice clone.
Throws a high fireball, I come in with a slide.
Low fireball, I'm blocking or jumping over it and hitting him with a 2,2,freeze combo.

Its funny to see Kang froze in mid air especially after a Bicycle kick :laugh:
