Hah, haven't we been over this? Nice try though :)

With all due respect, I give the edge to Dio based on songwriting. Ozzy was never good at writing his own lyrics. In fact, it's well documented that his lyrics have been written by bassists, whether it's Geezer Butler, Bob Daisley (who has been engaged in royalty disputes with Ozzy and Sharon as of late, to the point where his bass tracks on the 2002 reissues of Ozzy's first 2 solo albums were replaced by re-recordings from Robert Trujillo, who left Ozzy's band to join Metallica the next year), or even Lemmy (who never recorded on a single Ozzy album).

In the Misty Morning, on the Edge of time, we've lost the rising sun, the final sign , as the misty morning, rose away to die, reaching for the stars, we blind the SKYYYY!!! , my favorite Sabbath album so far, because of this song Dio > Ozzy ,,, nuff said

About this Ozzy and Dio stuff...

What about Ian Gillan? He singlehandedly turned Sabbath into Deep Sabbath (since he's best known as the singer of Deep Purple).

Ozzy may have not wrote his songs nor can he sing like Dio but he was a bigger influence to many. Whether it is doom, thrash or even punk they've all been influenced by the Ozzy era.

Oh I can't anymore
I know I will burn
Your judgment has long since
bent around my neck

Oh I can't anymore
I know you're going to hang me
And the Noose is so tight
I barely can breathe

Play me the song of death
Play me the song of death

Oh I can't anymore
My destiny is set
Your curse floats
like the gallows over me

Oh I can't anymore
heaven is locked up
But now I don't even know
if hell wants me anymore

Play me the song of death
Play me the song of death

Give me one last time
Play me the song of death

I recently picked up this album from the old half price record store. I was caught off guard by its album cover, bold move on maiden's part having their beloved t-shirt selling mascot being tortured and ripped to bits, very morbid and unexpected of them. So I thought I'd give it a shot. And I'm surprised how good it is. I havn't gotten this thrill from Maiden since I was younger and just getting into them and metal in general (which I admit I rarely listen to them that much anymore) Really gloomy and brooding, a more mature and less campy sound from them but they pull it off quite well surprisingly, and blaze is a good singer. Apparently fans hated it back when it was released, but change can be good sometimes and this was an experiment that worked imo.

And this song has an amazing buildup.

Gotta show some support to my friends metal band Vanlade. They're currently in the studio working on their first album. I heard a rough cut of it today and I actually dig it. It's not my kind of metal but I actually think it's pretty good. I just laugh when I watch it because they're all friends of mine and it's weird seeing a good (decently good anyways) music video with them in it. I also get giggles out of it because Brett (the lead singer) goes around his house singing like the way he does in the music video (Iron Maiden type singing).

I actually think Tarkatan Trash would like my friends band.

Fun fact. The live performance part of the song is filmed at this local club called Aftershock and it's pretty much right down the road from me. It's literally a 5 minute drive from my house to the parking lot.

That's pretty much the only Ministry set I'd ever need lol. I'm just scared of the price.

WHERE YOU AT NOW? Alt Mix maybe??? I See Red is an unreleased Twitch era track that actually got worked into PTP - My Favorite Things. Twitch is my favorite album so hearing anything new from that era just has me sold. Plus all the classic RevCo stuff is just an major bonus. Plus is has the banned version of Physical. The one that Olivia Newton-John didn't approve of lol. Plus some old goodies from With Sympathy era that no ones even heard of. Same Old Scene? I'm really interested in hearing that. Self Annoyed and Fish In Cold Water sound really cool too The more new RevCo and classic Ministry the better.
