My final thought on Guest slots has always been this: it could have been an MK character you hated.
I don't like Leatherface, but my disappointment would be so much more if the spot was given to Sareena or Fujin.

And if you're angry about lore, they're dlc characters. They're being added in after the story mode has already been finished. Skarlet added just as much lore as Freddy did in MK9. I mean, how much of an impact did Kenshi's MK9 appearance have on his MKX story?
 
True, but it just opens the gate for all it to happen later on, which is ridiculous to even think about but i have no idea what direction theyre going to take with this. If mk11 happens theres nothing stopping them from bringing back guests and making it canon. Im just worried is all, i mean the characters i wanted to be dlc i didnt think would be included anyways, which they werent.

Im sure they know what theyre doing, as they are the proffessionals and its their creation, but its just scaring the shit out of me. Bringing back dead characters that are popular just because, putting tons of guests in, 30 dollar character packs, their marketing, their online, everything theyve been doing lately just makes me wonder what the future is gonna look like and i dont want to one day hate mortal kombat.

Theyre giving me reason to doubt, and i have literally no idea what life would even be like if i didnt like mk anymore.

I personally think kang, lao, and kitana shouldve sat out. I get that its relevant for mk11, but i dont think they shouldve been playable. Just living characters shouldve been priority, and if not them then at least give a fair chance for other dead characters. Ive been following this game since it was announced and i started losing faith the moment i heard those names
 
Look ,before mk9 you had a kind of invited character, but offcourse, it was more indirectly. You had at mka the kak and then you had mk vs dc. So is not a valid reason for to say if this did 'nt happened in last 10 years, casual players must to be focused. Also i think that the invited characters should be join the last list of releases not from the start this could to help a bit. But honestly mk need to exploit characters that had few expansion in the last 10 years and not wasting it with invited characters. Why not to waste time in characters like tassia no face, kia, jaataka, posible npc figthers characters? Also mkx actual roster was managed very so stupid ,makes no sense in certain characters like the evil demons version ,like kang kung lao kitana , jax specially if they are playable. The same like the stupid relatives characters. So i blame to entire Ns, WB and the cassual why? Cause Ns and WB Wants
loves more the money than a game and the casuals players are more a free joined actors in this pathetic marketing strategy. So f-u-c-k off with boon Ns and WB.

Pd: include we had in mkd an indirectly invited character and it was the stupid kobra so do not tell me that is a valid reason make more priority for cassual, cause is a 'fn error

Is that really so bad though? If Predator became a regular cast member in Mortal Kombat? No longer a guest, he'd canonically stand within a franchise he helped influence.

My dude, guest characters are one thing, but surely you're used to them bringing back dead characters. They've been doing it since MKII. Do you think Revenant Liu Kang is a bad idea? Baraka was sliced in half in MKII. Do you know how they brought him back? With fukking staples

It couldn have been a character I don't like. Yeah. But it is MK character. For example. I didn't like Kitana, Liu Kang, Kung Lao being brought as playable characters. But I just simply accepted that. They are still MK characters. My character lost contest to those characters. That's it. I am not gonna rage on Kitana fans, because Frost didn't make it. Hell to be honest I never raged on anyone, just because they don't like mine or like particular character I don't like. That's pathetic.

And at the same time it is fun to speculate who will make it and who will not. Hell that boot guessing game was fun as hell. Is it Kung Lao? Is it Sareena? Maybe that character is Frost?

Then you see the character is not the one you expected, and you just get sad, but not angry or hateful.
"Damn I wished for Frost. But Kitana won. Oh well. Maybe next time"

But in this case. Will it be Fujin? Or Sareena? Maybe Noob is coming back? Or hell maybe, JUST MAYBE. Frost.

I do not agree. Skarlet was born from glitch and rumors, which were born many years ago. She is a glitch, just like Ermac was. Her debut was on MK. Freddy comes from Nightmare on Elm Street. Skarlet is part of MK, as much as Ermac, while Freddy has no connection. AT ALL.

EDIT: I read this part wrong.

Let me rephrase that. Skarlet while didn't add much to lore (even in MKX comics), she is still part of MK. That's the thing. She is MK character while Freddy is not.
 
Well via cheats codes those glitch bugs are there, include the smoke glicht happened at mk 1 lol. So f-u-c-k with ed boon.

Pd: rumors were 'nt happened if ppl did not see a random glitches or bugs that it does not means that those happen everyday at arcade cabinets Again f*^$&ck you boon.

Predator has a massive lore of his own. Just because he influenced something doesn't mean he matches MK world. Not to mention now it would be dumb as hell to make DLC character canon. He has no history in MK. No connections with other characters, was never mentioned in any way. He comes from completely different universe. Not to Predators are hunters. They use stealth. They usually fight from the shadows.

Making Preadot canon in MK is like forcing square cube into circular hole. Like stapling a modern white office A4 paper to ancient scroll.

I am not sure if you're trolling or not. I played MK1 and MK2. I kinda saw that shit with my own eyes. So what Ed Boon said means zero. I mean he also said this.

EDIT: I never saw Ermac glitch. Someone said it was in MK2 or something. But I have seen Kitana graphical glitch.

The day that happens, I am turning around and forgetting that MK ever existed. I know I sounds like Tarkatan Trash right now, but I fell in love with MK. Not Movie All Stars. I am fine if they add 1-2 guest characters from movies. But making them even in CANON. Nah. Just too much.

Oh im used to them bringing back dead characters, and i knew it was gonna happen, just the way they did it bugs me. Theyre still dead in the story, theyre just revenants. Just wouldve made more sense for them to be one of the npc fights. Im fine with them bringing them back to life, but thats what they gotta do, the bringing back part. I like revenant liu, just his story will pick up in 11, in x he's just another lackey that shows up for chapter fights.

In my opinion i dont think its a good idea to bring the same guests back to future mk games. Once that barrier is broken, theres no turning back. It just gives this whole mixed media. Exactly what happened with yoshimitsu, it blurred the lines and now theres newer fans that have no clue where he's originally from. In predators case if he became canon in this universe i feel it would just make things weird. Like they could figure why even bother with the cyborgs anymore when we have their biggest influence sitting right next to them? (Apart from story relevence)
I just wouldnt put it past them to do something like that and i think if they were going to bring guests back then they would bring all of them. Would you want leatherface to exist canonically in the mk universe? I mean he's just a regular dude, he would be like 60-70 in the timeline anyways haha.

On a side note im glad you got your big red man back, and i want to see some of that action. Do you think theyll have a seperate ending for each variation or just lump it all into triborg story? Cause i want it all

Casual fans dont care about the longevity of a game, and when i say casual i mean snobby bros that want to pick up a game for a hot second because its popular, like the call of duty dudes that play maybe once a month cause they ran out of beer and their college party got cancelled.

Mad respect for someone that buys a game because of something that interested them in the marketing and becomes a fan, one that will become a fan and want to know more. A casual fan to me is someone that is not interested in the game, its history, or any other aspect of the game and will put it up when the next big thing comes out.

That is who theyre listening to, and that is why people are pissed. Because we are stuck with it, now this shit is canon, now our history is influenced by people that dont care.

It doesnt matter though, like i said, whats done is done. We just need to remind them that we're here too, and us hardcore fans care a lot more.

Their legacy is more important than money, but in todays society that sentence is flip flopped

There's nobody I really hate. But honestly, I'd still prefer my most disliked character over alien.
I can't stand Stryker or Nightwolf, most disliked characters in my book, but I'd still LOVE to have them in over ANY guest character.

It feels like I'm playing a bloody version of Playstation all stars now. But I do love Leatherface, and Jason wasn't all bad.
 
Words cannot express my disappointment ..of course I will sign it .this bullshit has to stop. This is blatant sell out disreguard for the fans...I bet they make a horror fighting game next..didn't they learn from MK VS DC?? I didn't with Freddy. In mk9...and I'm so bummed! .havnt we given them enough money and support over the last two games? They have to milk us for more $$?? My expectations were low to begin with I expected the story pack...this is way worse...my DLC wishlist was Serrena Havik fujin and Noob Saibot ..that would have brought style nostalgia and money in...but no ..I like the robots...but I hate the name tri borg...its not even a real characters name...and it's lazy...4 guest characters is too much could a done without Jason and leatherface..i would a been ok with just AVP...This is just unacceptable and I am on board with the boycott...damn I miss Tobias...and bo over fujin??? Wow nrs...just wow...yet still I prefer bo over the entire dlc cast from both packs..
