But yeah I feel like without Kano, the Black Dragon are kind of unnecessary.

You yourself have said that the only 4 needed characters for any MK game are Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden and Liu Kang.

...I really don't think they'll kill off a major fan favorite in the comic. Would be beyond spoilerific for the MKX story. Reminds me of the people who thought Sonya was gonna get killed in the meeting with Kahn. Absolutely ridiculous thinking.

Reiko is a maybe, but something tells me Shawn isn't going to kill too many original characters since he wants to keep the comics going. Probably why Frost wasn't killed. He might want to use her for future storylines.

Plus characters dying in the comic gonna leave a lot of people who've played through MKX's story mode and haven't read any issues/chapters confused.
