Should Hydro ever be considered as a character for MK10?

If Hydro was brought into the games prior to Rain, I'd be saying the same thing about Rain. Unfortunately he wasn't, which means Rain, by default, is the first water controlling Ninja.

My argument has nothing to do with popularity. You could make a ninja of every color of the rainbow and each one of them would be popular. It's common knowledge that MK fans love their element based Ninjas and anyone associated with them. That doesn't make him any less bland and uninspired.

You know what, they should definitely bring Hydro to the game but re-imagine him as a pirate. Yes, a water controlling pirate who is trying to cause chaos in the Orderrealm. GENIUS

Lol brilliant idea!! Pirates, samurais and knights would fit in perfectly in mk! I have never seen or heard of hydro. But I would imagine him as hydro man from spiderman lol

kenshi is a samurai, hotaru is some sort of guard/knight, so pirates are the only thing missing

As for Hyrdo being a DLC, I just don't see it happening. For startes we all ready have a blue cyber ninja in Sub-Zero. Second, with how water dominant Rain has become, it would seem redundant to have Hydro controlling water. I mean if Rain didn't have water propelled moves, water teleport, water blast and a water bubble, I could argue that there was some elbow room. However, Rain has the water element on lock down.

So then, the only thing that Hydro could do is have them build off of his electric abilities. You could have it that he was called "Hydro" because he probably used moisture as some medium for him to generate electricity. So he would be looked at as a walking hydroelectric generator. That way he could have moves like an electric buff that strengthens, maybe have a move that involves him hitting the ground and causing an electric spark to pop out of the ground for a stun effect, the effect lasts depending on the distance it is used, much like how Jax's ground pound deals different amounts of damage depending on the range. Then probably give him some electric dash that after it activates you could tap one of the four attack buttons to determine what he whips out, like a dash throw, dash strike high, dash strike low, dash strike launcher.

Eh, now I'm just rambling.

Half of the threads in this part of the forum are just wild-ass blurbs that people lazily compile and then post on here because they wanna get cool points from other people who like to lazily compile "possible" characters for this game. These threads aren't about explaining how a new character could benefit or fit into the game because they're not well-thought out, and that's why they're annoying.

I like the idea of a female cyborg.

Storywise it's possible, even probable, we know that the Lin Kuei had female ninjas (see Frost).

And people complaining women in MK9 are all scantily clad travestite porn-stars could finally be happy. :)

But still... Hydro... means water, means Rain... and for electricity we already got Raiden, and even a little bit of Nightwolf and Rain... so they would have to fin whole different ways to incorporate water and electricity power with a cyborg...
 
I think there is still some room for electricity, seeing as when you look at Rain & Nightwolf they really only have one electric based move, which is the summon lightning strike move, and they have a different property. Raiden only has an electric ball, electric grab and the flying tackle.

So I would think that there is still some elbow room for electric based moves.

Plus like I said he could be called "Hydro" for short because he uses his abilities like a hydroelectric generator.

Orange ninja - (Why not? Or some kind of Juice, Blaze, something like that)
Yellow ninja - Scorpion.
Green ninja - Reptile.
Blue ninja - Sub-Zero.

They are the most popular and beloved characters so is normal that people wants more, I want more.

Besides I cant see why do you consider them all since they are all different in look and even more in gameplay, I can understand if you say it because the old pallet swapp days but is dumb since we don't see pallet swap since 1996 (except for the classics).

PS - Tanya is not considered a ninja/kunoichi because she never used a mask.

No, I dont know how can you deduct that from my reply... I never said that, I only said that tanya is not considered a ninja, what is true, nothing more, I wasn't saying anything bad about Tanya, I just pointed that out because Sub-Zera called her a ninja. I main Kabal, Cyrax, Kenshi and Im trying Kung Lao and Baraka too and none of them are ninjas. So before invent random words I never said, just shut up please.

Besides if I do, is not your business.

In some small way, NRS may consider Tanya as a ninja. Khameleon was given one of Tanya's moves for the Wii version of MK: Armageddon.


And technically, Tanya is a texture swap, if not a palette swap. Her MK4 costume was intended to be for Kitana.

Nice, I didnt have that info. I've never been a fan of Khameleon so I had no idea.

Is good that you explained my mistake instead of flaming with no reason.

PS- I remember Baraka being considered a ninja in the chall tower.

Ah, OK, sorry for that:) Maybe it's cause i don't like MK9 look of ninja outfits and, like in old time, playing their klassic costumes:)

Tanya was not a ninja, right:) But in MK4 she looks familiar to Kitana and Mileena, even if you remember, in PS1 MK4 (not MK Gold) there was secret Kitana who looked absolutely like Tanya, but blue. That's why i aligned her to these chicks: Tanya's costume is MK4ish outfit for all girls:)
Oh. Really, Kitana still counts ninja though since MK Gold she was oftenly seen without mask. In Gold she shown her face, in MKD we also seen maskless Jade, and it was her main costume. Now in MK9 all of them including Mileena have maskless alternate, so, we already lost the direct connection between mask and ninjaness:)

And, come on, actually no one of these girls is a ninja!:) Sub-Zero, Smoke and Scorpion are ninjas, from ninja clans, as it should be.
Kitana is Edenian Princess! She is a warrior, yes, but not a ninja)) So too, Jade. What to say about Mileena:)
