Should Hydro ever be considered as a character for MK10?

I agree completely.

This is why Blue, Raiden's little psychotic sidekick, is a much better fit for MK10.

You're right, I post on an MK forum and I LOVE playing it, but I must hate it because I think the ninjas have become bland and repetitive... That logic isn't flawed at all...

Just because I dislike the boring-ass ninjas doesn't mean a thing about anything else regarding the game itself. I think they are boring and bland. I love the game.

And rain, sub, scorp, and smoke all have that lame Y shaped cloth/chunk of their color on them :/

Also, you can't possibly think that adding an element to a generic male character (with roughly the same special moves as other ninjas, just different elements...) is at all awesome or interesting... The lame cookie cutter ninjas just seem boring to me, and that is why I would HATE to see them put in a dumb rain spinoff/ANOTHER NINJA into th game when they could use their time more beneficially to the community and add characters like Shinnok or Tanya...

It just gets old after a while

And indeed I don't have to respect them as characters.... I can hate who I want in the game... You MUST like Sonya because she was THE ORIGINAL female to the game... Otherwise you hate Mk.... See how dumb that sounds?

lol calm down man, you just take it so serious. Is just that I dont understand how all the ninjas look and play the same to you...

My point is that, if you hate the ninjas, you hate a big part of the MK origins, since they are one of the most distinctive things in the franchise. Sonya is just 1 character, the ninjas are 8 (counting Chameleon).

And you cant say the costumes are similar because they are not, Kitana, Jade, and Mileena (and perhaps Skarlet too) look waaaay more similar each other than the ninjas between each other, im not saying the kunoichis look all the same, they dont, they are different, but the ninjas look even more different, compare Sub-Zero with Ermac, Rain with Scorpion, Reptile with Smoke, and so on...

Needs? Maybe not. But does it need Freddy or Kratos? No. Did it need Skarlet? No. Kenshi? No.

Hell, there were characters on the starting roster that were only really there to keep with the whole "retelling of MK1-3" thing. Outside of that they didn't do much.
 
That's not even why. People liked him when he had an interesting history with Sub-Zero and was murdered by Scorpion. Should they develop a "Fire and Ice" game, and give Scorpion his revenge path of killing everyone close to Sub-Zero, I think Hydro would make a decent character. I think people have suddenly become interested in Hydro because he has been mentioned outside of the canon comic series and now stands at least a chance, of making the main games.

I think the only reason they put him in the web series is because they wanted to show Cyrax and Sektor fighting something, but didnt want them getting killed off so fast. So, they dug up an old character from an old comic and used him as a punching bag for the Sektor and Cyrax scenes. I'm sure boon doesnt even care about him one bit either.

His only purpose was to die and make the other Robots look cool, and if they ever put him in a game, thats what he should do too. Maybe in MK10's story mode as a non playable character that you get to kill as Cyrax or Sektor. And if human, make a ninja fight him.

How is a one time Red Dragon boss with a ground pound and fireballs better than a character with a dramatic story and an actual history with a few of the characters?

dont hate tremor, would have liked him in trilogy, but they messed him up with the thug idea

Hydro though, I will never understand why people want him. I remember when people said "Enough Robots already"
so what the hell is going on now? They are now magically cool? Human is nothing original either as it would just be another rain. I mean Tremor sucked in special forces, but at least he was in an actual game


peoples views on things seem to radically change I've noticed. I bet if anyone were to post "Hydro for DLC" a few weeks ago, they would get shot down and made fun of immiediatly

Because gameplay outweighs story in fighting games, for most people.


I doubt you'll be thinking about his relationship with Sub-Zero while throwing ice (or water or whatever the hell he does) like the clone he is.
 
It is nice he has a real background, and has been portrayed with other MK characters in a web series allowed by WB lol not a dead beat game everyone hated

Well, if we go technical, Rain is an Hydro clone since Hydro appeared in the comics before Rain in the game. And Tremor from what he did in SF is just a Jax with ninja garbs and a generic fireball.
