I'm not talking about his slide. I'm talking about how long his ice freezes you now. Every Sub I have fought has done nothing but ice clone and hide behind it, throwing the ice ball until I got hit. This is extremely hard for a non-teleporter.. but Skarlet got nerfed because people couldn't reach her with her dagger spam. Like wtf? Promote the upper tier and demote the lower tier is what is sounds like.

It was harder because iceball = no chip, no pushback, so you could dashblock ur way up to him. Skarlet dagger spam = chip + pushback, making it way too difficult to get in on her. She also does a lot more damage than sub zero does, has a force stand combo ender, and a fast teleport.

How exactly do you lose to a spamming Sub? He can't hurt you at long range anyway, he'll eventually have to close in on you. I don't know who your main is, but considering all characters have projectiles of some sort, surely you can time them to hit him without getting frozen. If you can land a few projectiles/chip damage, he'll have no choice but to move in or else lose the match after the timer is up.

Dash blocking him into a corner and staying on top of him to prevent his clone is also an option.

I agree the Jade changes are a slight downgrade overall. U3 was good at catching people off guard and fairly safe. Now it will be very easily punished. Knew one of my favs was gonna get nerfed. At least Cyrax didn't take much of a hit.

I also don't understand why Sub got a buff?? Like wtf. So now they are promoting turtling with him since if you, lets say Kitana and can't Teleport to the other side, you are forced to spam projectiles in hopes that you don't get frozen because you are going to get comboed. That is the stupidest buff EVAR.

I believe its called zoning and kitana would be able to teleport if she predicts a ice ball. also kitanas fans are much faster then ice ball I doubt sub zero will be able to get an ice ball out after you block one.

Skarlet is higher tier then sub. and the machine gun daggers still work there's just 10 more frames (1/6th of a second) more time in between. its not bad at all and she was broken post patch with her slide cancels she needed to be patched. Skarlet got buffed with the up3 out of dash, she didn't get nerfed that bad at all. BUFF>NERF because Skarlet nerf=completely necessary because she was broken, I'd go as far to say that she didn't get nerfed she got patched.

And I honestly don't understand why they gave Noob a mid projectile. That's ridiculous as well. Some of this patch was good, the rest was just wtf and unneeded

Cyrax had his bomb trap removed, how is 50% or more without a bar not much of a hit? aha. But I'm loving the new buzzsaw. It is way less punishable on block, and is an overhead. I use it way more often now.

I never used it much really. Wonder why they took it out when they increased the chance to get out of it in the last patch. I'll have to check out that buzzsaw later.

Don't see why they wouldn't make Scorpion's hellfire blockable. I usually beat Scorpions but it can catch players in slides and that's a bit much.

Does anyone know how bad Ermac's damage scaling is now?

My favorite move of Cyrax's pre-patch was the Saw.
So, this is good news to me :)

i agree noob didnt need a overhead and a low projectile. owever your complaints are fueled by pure bias and nothing more. zub zero's iceball spam is infinitely easier to deal wit ten skarlettes dagger spam. only a noob would fail for subs epicly long recovery time iceball when they themselves have a projectile that will do actual damage if connected. meanwhile skarlettes dagger toss is both faster on speed/recovery/frequency...and on top of tat does chip damage. its no contest >.>

i can understand the reasoning behind each and the only one i disagree with is subs slide having armor...not because i think its too much, but i dont htink it will help him enough.

I believe someone told me he still has that 53% combo with 1 meter, which is still pretty damn nice amount of damage. Atleast they gave you guys better mix ups now so you aren't just hitting someone's block.

IMO noob only needed something to help him deal with people who can tele/parry his projectiles. Kind of hard to be a zoner when 1/4 of the cast can teleport/projectile parry(Smoke) you on reaction.
 
Did this new patch mess up single player?

So I decided to play Arcade Ladder today and I noticed that as my I move up the ladder to the next opponent, there is a slight delay and the music stops playing BEFORE my character icon moves up. Anyone else have this problem? I also notice that when I'm at the press start screen, it seems to take longer to load before it says CHECKING FOR NEW FEATURES.

notice after it says Kung Lao wins the music plays but nothing happens. Then it cuts out before the icon moves up. This never used to happen. Anyone else having this issue

I played alot of versus today and online I wanted to play arcade but my caveman friend doesnt have live so he wanted to do online play
 
Where's the PS3 patch?!?!?!

Okay guys, we all know that MK9 on xbox have been patched. We also know that they stated that the patch for ps3 is "coming SOON". So anyone has an idea on when this patch is coming out for PS3? Has someone already got it?

Man i can't wait to have Kung Lao nerfed, is getting on my nerves. I usually beat someone like 4 times in a row, than they quickly switch to kung lao and abuse his overpowerness and lag-friendly gameplay, basically to give me a message.... like "Ha, you can't beat me if i play with Kung Lao", which afterwards they quit.

Word has it that it's around a weeks time after the XBL patch. Be patient is all I can say. I'm waiting for it too.
 
the 360 desynced up until the recent patch so its been totally unplayable till now. the ps3 has been fixed for some time so waitin a week is not a bad trade off. i cant wait for cyrax, reptile, kung lao and raiden to be fixed they are so unbalanced its not even funny.

In all honesty, it's not bias though. I can deal with the Skarlet one since she can still juggle with the daggle cancel, that's what I was worried about.

The Sub thing was really unneeded. If he's spamming Ice Balls from a distance and my projectile hits him after I freeze, that's his fault. Don't make it last longer. Sucks for non teleporters. Just my opinion, but it's not biased. Same goes for the Noob buff projectile. It was unneeded with the way he already plays. I mean he's up there in top tier.

Thank God they gave Sindel, Baraka, and Sheeva a buff though.
Sindel is a little faster and plays better with better scream.
Sheeva's anti-air is better, and her mid projectile was needed. THEY NEED TO BUFF HER LOW GRAB, it's TOO slow.
