SZ freeze is really not that much longer.

What's annoying in sp and might be in mp is Shang's soul steal armor. Projectiles used to knock him out of it. Also when blocking it it appears he can still morph.
 
Since the patch hit, haven't had a SINGLE problem with online, its nice man =) I appreciated the range extension on Sub's EX slide too. And they FINALLY showed Baraka some love, about damn time -_-
 
its 3:28 am where I'm at and I'm going to bed. I HOPE to wake up, come on this website and see ps3 users going crazy because the patch finally came. please let it come...g'nite
 
i thought ps3 already got the patch cause when i trade buzz saw with subs ice ball he can still have enough time to come combo me (and im talking like full screen)

kung lao also seems more tolerable
 
Negative edge has been changed, and for the better.

Timing and execution is much stricter, which is a good thing, but now I can do motions like B3, F2 and having a string, rather than a special come out.

Online is also better. It's still has its issues, but it is far more improved, and there are a lot less Desyncs now. But they still occur.
 
I know that the patch for the PS3 isn't out yet, but something is weird, cause one of my combos with Kung Lao used to do 37% damage, it does 35% now, I'm doing it the exact same way as before.

yea...I think there doing little hotfixes before the patch comes. I had a simple 8 hit combo with johnny that did 39% of damage. now it does 37%. the combo ends in nut punch which was damage nerfed.

U+3 ends all my strings into safety from anyone who isn't kabal/Raiden or SUPER fast specials.

Now that it can't hit crouchers. I have no safe range hit when they crouch.

Atleast before when they crouched, I could poke/poke/poke/poke End with UP+3 to push them away. Basically since anyone who knows how to fight jade at all will just crouch block everything except when jade jumps off the ground (Jump/DB2). I can never really break a defense w/o spamming grab all day and then that gets predictable.

The safe buff to 4, >3 is practically useless because everyone.. should be crouch blocking, so you will whiff over their head and recieve some punishment.

The going through block projectile was a nice touch, but it doesn't really lead... to anything especially since the return rang pulls them away from you limiting your options. An opponent can uppercut you out of the rang before you recover before the rang comes and hits them in the back(when your in their face)

Safer DF2 was a little nice, but it's no U+3 substituion. If they chose to let go afer U+3 you can combo off of it as long as you're a little bit near a corner. DF2 won't ever lead to anything but 10%ish. And DF2, can't anti air, And it can STILL be punished by really fast specials.

so essentially.. IMO overall nerf.

I'd rather keep old Jade than take the new craptastic benefits.

that U+3 is more important than any of the small buffs she gained.

I agree. Everyone says Jade's U3 is useless. It's a crucial part of my game.
 
damn...u3 mustve been godlike if people are droppin her since it got nerfed. idk...I use jade and although I do use u3, I'm not gonna quit using her. just gotta be more careful with it. but that's just me...

Yeah, you shouldn't drop her. But I'm not really sure what I'm gonna use U3 for unless I'm tryin' to end a combo with it. It's like just another normal move now.
 
It's not that the move was god like.

More like it made her other normals more useful. With up+3 as an option I could scare them from wanting to do a empty crouch to punish me. Cuz U+3 punished this easily. Now what am I gonna do mid range when they empty crouch? Dashing in is Gonna get them to block.

It was the ying to my mix up with yang.

It's like scorpions hellfire/spear/tele punch cycle.

Imagine if they made hellfire blockable? Hellfire would have almost zero use. It was to condition your opponent to jump. Where as up+3 for jade was ment to condition them to not spam naked crouch at mid distance.

Dunno man it makes my mid range game and upclose pressure a little worse.

I'm on my phone I can go SUPER into detail why it was needed to hit crouchers.

Straight up, this is just an example of how important mixups can be to any of the characters in the roster. They are the sole reason why characters Like Kung Lao were so dangerous, until the low hat was nerfed in this patch.

Staring all over with another character is a true pain in the ass, sometimes I don't even have the patience to learn some of the more easier characters. If you ever take Quan Chi into consideration out of whatever characters you're thinking about using, I'll be more than glad to help you out, he is still heavily underused and underestimated by the community (including players at mku and tym), though I do admit to many of his flaws.
