I'd argue that Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the collective face of Mortal Kombat, but the stronger argument goes for Subby, since he's been in every game except Special Forces.
 
I think is Scorpion and Sub-Zero, there is no Scorpion without Sub-Zero and viceversa, I dont understand why people thinks is just Scorpion..
 
I think it depends on at what point of the series you want to tag a face to.
MK movies were all about Liu Kang
MK1 video game Scorpion/Sub-Zero
MK2 Shao Kahn's first appearance
MK3 No ninjas, no Johnny Cage, no Raiden lots of new characters. I loved Motaro and the cyber-ninjas.
MK Mythologies/4 Quan Chi/Shinnok
So on and so forth..
But when people think of Mortal Kombat, they think of the logo, and the ninjas. I'd say Scorpion and Sub-Zero are by far the most famous and Scorpion would probably take the place as the face of MK. But we all know that Mokap and Hsu-Hao give Scorpion a run for his money...

But ever since MK9, every ****ing promotional image has Scorpion kicking Sub zero's ass. Also the title screen and Pre-ordered figures.

Scorpion, Sub Zero and Raiden. It's not even really an opinion. People who DON'T play the games can even point out one of those three, if not all three.

This poll is flawed. Scorpion and Sub Zero are the faces of Mortal Kombat. They are its most treasured characters and will always represent MK. I really don't see how anyone could say otherwise. The reason Scorpion's on the NR logo is probably because he's Boon's fave character, and because it's good design. But fans would not accept an MK without Sub Zero in it.
 
The Ninja's like FOX said, when i think of the word ninja Mortal kombat is the first thing that comes to my mind :)

I agree. Top five of MK are Scorpion and Sub.Zero, close behind them belongs Raiden, Shao Kahn and Liu Kang.
 
Scorpion is the equivalent of sweet tooth to twisted metal. Yes there are other great popular characters but they are the chosen cover boys.
 
that question is self-explanatory, who is the nether realm mascot? scorpion. if scorpion is the face i guess sub-zero must be the ass. for christ's sake can we see a video in which sub-zero dosent get totally shitted on?
