I don't think that Kung Lao is balanced or well round at all! LOL
6-6-6-6 Critical? Sorry, I don't agree. I even think Kung Lao in some ways may even excel characters that were intentionally designed to master a specifc gameplay style. Kung Lao's zoning is damn good, the recovery of his hats allows a lot of mobility in him, he can zone you low, mid and even in the air with his hat controling options, but Kung Lao can rush down like a crazy lion! The fact that he has an insane of amount of mix-ups simply confuse me. Sub-Zero and Nightwolf have barely mix-up options, no low starter, but it's understandable - those ARE balanced and well-rounded characters. Kung Lao has low starters, mix-up options that ends up in lows and overheads contantly (you literally have to guess what the heck he's going to do), a teleport with several options - one unblockable and one does a pop-up. Kung Lao has a FANTASTIC air control and SUPER FANTASTIC anti-air tools. Imagine if the dive kick wasn't so punishable? He's great for long, mid and close fights, his enhanced specials are ALL great (c'mon, a spin attacking from distance, armor in a already good teleport and a fricking hat that can hit you from anywhere?). Not to mention his amazing wake-up options and even if you block his spin, it's still quite hard to punish (before, it was impossible to do it). Well-rounded? Where exactly??? Oh, don't forget his speed! LOOOL Yes, because he already wasn't good enough you know...
He EXCELS in many fields and he's good for the rest. That's NOT a well-rounded character.
