Injustice Discussion Thread

Jade is tempting me to change my avatar and signature to the Riddler. I'll do it if The Riddler shows up on the game :D.

Really hope he makes it. It'd be badass.

Zatanna has always been one of my favorites. She was so fun to play as in Justice League Heros. I enjoyed her sense of humor in that game.

The more I look at Injustice Gameplay-wise I lose hope for this game.. I could careless what characters are in the game but I'm more concern about the gameplay it self. What good is it having all our favorite characters if the gameplay isn't solid and entertaining as MK9's

I'm still skeptic about the Interactive Environment, Ed explain them over and over in each video but he never says anything about Blocking them or countering them, I don't want someone relying on Booby traps the entire game to win.. That's defeats the fighting aspect of the game along with competing to see who's better. Another thing that's on my mind is blocking.. Out of like 20 videos I've seen of scrubs going at it, I've yet to see someone block attacks.. So I don't know if Superman's flying grab is techable or blockable.. I wish that they would go in depth with all aspects of the game instead of all the flashy transitions and stuff, so hopefully at gamescon Ed with do that.

That's just my rant about this game.
 
I'd imagine that environmental objects can be blocked, except maybe the car slams. I also think that most of those grabs & lasers are blockable. Kabal & Kano's command grabs are blockable. However I think that certain characters should be able to block things that others can't (still thinking about this). Like those barrels, Wind god forbid that they are unlockable, but since some characters have air dashes and such, slug dudes like Grundy should be able to block them. Have you seen his walk speed and his forward dash? Horrendous.


My main concern is the clash system. It looks to be over powered for characters who don't rely on meter that much. Kabal is one of the few characters who doesn't need as much meter as say Quan Chi, Cyrax or Freddy. So he builds meter and can sit on a breaker all day. So if certain characters in Injustice rely less on their meter, they'll be able to always wager the maximum amount to either gain huge amounts of damage on their combos or to nullify yours. I honestly hope they take it out completely. Let the critics whine about this being too much like MK, just give us a breaker.
 
I'm with you on removing the Clash and keeping the simple breaker.

It'll be cool if they have a few people from NRS Choose a character that's been confirmed and represent them in a small tournament of a set best of 3, and each person representing their character compete against each other but they're playing at a Semi-pro level just to give us a legit Demonstration of how a real match would look to answer all questions about gameplay.
 
Agreed, I remember the first high level bits of MK9 we saw were in a VERY early pre-release Brazilian tournament. It was cell phone camera footage of Hector Sanchez going to work with Cyrax on a random's Sub-Zero. It wasn't anything crazy comparable to what we see today, but it was great to see the game played on a higher level. It was around the time Cyrax & Kitana were first revealed.
 
Im a bit confused about the blocking how do you move back if that buttons for blocking? Like can you still hold down back to move back instead of tapping the back button to move?
