Injustice confirmed characters

Yeah I agree, it'll be Green Arrow, because of the new TV Show, they'll try to give the character as much exposure as possible.

I think I'll check out this new series that had premiered on Pix. Seems to be like a gritty, dark version of Green Arrow. I wonder what arrows he might used in his specials?

It fine to have some of them in, but seriously I want to see more than just Dark Knight stuff, I mean where is Black Adam, Sinestro, Madame Rouge?

I'll tell you where they aren't, and that's on my wishlist. That goes for a lot of other people too. Batman villains are godlike because they don't wear spandex. Gritty, real and built for fighting.

And Swamp man

There's a reason why we have a good amount of Batman characters in Injustice, Rodney.

Look beyond the fact that they're all from the same series, all of them are almost completely unique from each other.

How many other DC series do you know would be able to say that if they had more than 2 characters repping their series?

ENOUGH BATMAN CHARACTERS! like seriously about half the roster is filled with batman villans.

So far, the Batman villains in the game are:

-Joker (This is a given, having the game without him would be like having an MK game without Scorpion)
-Bane (Recently in a movie, so his popularity is up)
-Harley (One of the most popular female characters in all of comics)
-Catwoman (Not really a villain these days, but she too was in The Dark Knight Rises, and once again, one of the most popular females in all of comics)

That's 4 characters...surely 4 isn't half the roster, or even "about half the roster". A roster of 24-26, with another 4-8 DLC characters...that's merely a sixth of the roster.

So no, I don't see where the complaints are justified, pun intended.

Batman is one of the most iconic and popular character in not only the DCU, but in comic books as a whole. He has without a shadow of doubt, the best assortment of villains as a whole. Find any "Top 100 DC characters" or even "Top 100 Comic Book Villains", and I would bet at least 8-10 of them are on that list.

With all this said, it really comes down to:

1. Does the character have story purpose?
-These characters aren't just thrown in there for no reason. They never promised to have an equal amount of characters from the many sub franchises within the DCU. They are picking who has story purpose. So if you see Catwoman instead of Mirror Master, Professor Zoom, or Cheetah, it's because she plays specific part that they wouldn't.

2. Popularity
-They want characters that can actually sell the game. Ed has said they want to make a franchise out of this, with more games to come. So in order to do that, you can't compile a game of generic C and D list characters, just for the sake of "variety". So why someone would be upset that Bane and Catwoman are included over Firefly and Copperhead, just doesn't make sense. They want people that can sell. Batman and his cast of characters sell.

3. Beyond Batman
-These characters are beyond Batman at this point. Joker has been a main DCU villain over the years. He isn't just a "Batman Villain". He's the most popular DCU villain altogether. You act as if they are putting in Man-Bat and Hugo Strange. Just having Batman villains for the sake of having them. Simply not the case. Catwoman and Nightwing have their own Comic Book Series. They are their own characters with their own set of supporting cast. They aren't just tag alongs to Batman, and haven't been for many years. Harley is featured in her own comic book called the "Suicide Squad" with other characters as well.

I'm so over this "TOOOO MANY BATMAN CHARACTERS!!!11" nonsense.

I just watch the new story trailer... and I saw some unfamiliar characters.

I could've swore I saw hawkgirl fly by in one scene

EDIT:

nvm, i paused it... looks like a generic hawk type soldier.

I must say; I absolutely love the Themyscira stage. Ugh, it's the epitome of perfection

This new trailer is pretty hype, didn't know Tara Strong was voicing Harley Quinn.
She is insta-main for me now.

Glad to see that the voice acting of the game is going well.

As it pertains to DLC, I really hope Doctor Fate is at least considered. Though, I doubt he's on the top "must haves" in many people's minds. He would have great potential with his magic abilities, and I have always thought he has an awesome look. So i'd definitely pay for his inclusion. Not sure of his mass appeal though. I think if people looked into him, they'd see he's an awesome character to include sometime, if not DLC, maybe a future game?

He's got quite the history, and has been featured on many of the animated shows, as well as an appearance in the Samllville show, so people would hopefully at least recognize him...

We all have our "non A-list hopefuls", he'd be at the top of my list.

Here's hoping...

Swamp Thing would be another choice of mine. I could see him as a DLC contender, not really the main roster type.

Does anyone know how many character will be in this game? So far there are like 15 confirmed characters, but seems like a title like this should have at least 25 characters.

24 in game with possible dlc

That's not the final confirmed number. Every interview i've seen, it's 20-30. Somewhere around what MK had. They said they don't want too little, because it gets repetitive, but not too much because it adds further issues and complications to overcome.

My guess, probably 26, with 6 DLC characters(they confirmed we'd get more DLC than we got for MK).

people got to see the character select screen where only 4 characters are selectable a while back. and if you count all the empty blocks. That's where people got that number.

Plus Hector Sanchez confirmed that was going to be the final screen selection in an interview... Didn't mention anything about unlockables either so that may be where the higher number is coming from.

Yes, I figured that, but how many times has the select screen changed from the earlier builds in their previous games? As well as potential off-screen extra spots etc. Idk, I just don't think 24 is a concrete number. Reason being, they haven't hidden the select screen in any of their demoes, yet, they constantly refuse to give a concrete final number. They always say 20-30. If it was the 24 on the select screen we've seen, why make it a mystery?
