Kotal Kahn came to Earthrealm in hopes of getting Shinnok's Amulet back, following and fighting Cassie's team, but Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei came to their aid and held him back. We actually don't learn what happens then.
 
After seeing how uninspired Sub-Zero's variations turned out to be. I don't see how adding Frost is going to help give her 3 good ice variations when they blew it with an iconic character like Sub-Zero. Sub-Zero is no doubt my favorite character and I still enjoy him in MKX, BUT I expected more out of his variations. They took out the ground freeze and no air ice clones! His cyromancer was wasted potential. I couldn't tell you how mad I'd be if they put Frost in and gave her more unique ice moves in her variations than SUB COT DAMN ZERO! haha
 
I agree that a second ice-themed character would feel superfluous. I don't believe the potential is there in terms of variations, and I think the character is pretty bland anyway. It's nice they gave her a small cameo as obviously there is a fan base there, but she'd be a waste of a character when there are still wholly original options such as Havik or Fujin.

Dude MK fans (REAL FANS) dont want frost and all other BS characters, fan favorites like Fujin, Reiko, Kabal, Smoke, Cyrax & Sektor are left out not just because of story, but because there's a bunch of talking A holes that want 2b hipster girls trying to get lets say useless or no gd Kharacters into MK.
If you like Frost go play MK DA & MK D. Also I get the joke with people asking for "Meat" or "Mokap" or "Zebron" or even that retarded idea of putting this made up character called "Khrome lol" in the game.
90% of these peoples first MK game was MK Armageddon, that says more than enough.
You can argue all you want, frost was absolute shit but I can understand characters create a fan base around them but for the best leave them to rest.
 
There's no such thing as "real" fans or "true" fans. People just call themselves that to feel better than others.

Kana, this is so unnecessary. Telling people they aren't real fans because they want certain characters to return? C'mon, really? Don't be like that.

What? Just embrace the truth, no one wants to play with a Zebra or some want to be SubZero with a plot more thin than a piece of toilet paper, im 28 been a real fan since MK 1 arcade times.

A true fan gets upset if they lets say change his thing that he/she loves, for example MKvsDC it hurt my soul a little because it was nothing MK.

There's no room for another 'freeze all the things' character imo, and if there was another Lin Kuei spot there's more deserving characters than Frost.

Love you too, bae, but I still disagree with you. You are either a fan or not a fan. There are different types of fans, but either way, still a fan. This "true fan" stuff is bullshit. Like I said, it's just something people call themselves, because they think they are better than others... that sort of arrogance just makes them douchebags, which in my book makes them lesser than others.

I don't like Frost, I don't like Tremor, I don't like Scorpion... but there are people who DO like them, and they aren't lesser fans because of it, just because I think those are crappy characters. They are just as much part of this community as the rest of us.

Also, it doesn't matter if you've been a fan since MK1 or if you just joined the fanbase because of MKX. A fan is a fan. We who have been fans since day one just have alot more experience and knowledge of the franchise, and instead of pushing the newcomers away JUST because they are new to the fandom, we should welcome them and teach them about this awesome franchise we love so much.

There's absolutely no need to split the community up because of arrogant notions. We're all fans of the same franchise here.

You seem to forget that the entire clan has been rebuilt by Sub-Zero. Who do you want instead? Lin Kuei peon #36?

Based on what? They're just ninjas with swords; of the unique characters, we've only seen Sub and Frost so far. I don't want Frost, and obviously a lot of people don't either (and yes, I know some do) -- introduce a new LK character who has a new move/power set. Something original that won't overlap with Subby.

Simples.
 
You have Scorpion and Kenshi. You don't need more sword guys. Unless Cyrax comes back as DLC, you won't get more Lin Kuei.
 
We have Smoke and Tremor... What other element could possibly be used in the Lin Kuei other than ice?

This goes back into how people want the 3D era characters to have another chance in a game. Why make up a totally new character when you have one that clearly can be redeemed?

And Sub-Zero in a drag? Really? Come on now.
 
As a Frost Fan, I would love for her to become playable, and I do like the way they handle both her and sareena in this game, they gave them some plot line for future games, as an example here's something I made up for frost:

If they keep her on the slighlty evil/arrogant route, they could have her as one of Dark Raiden's warriors as he seems to now have the same mindset as she does when it comes to handling peace, and maybe when Dark Raiden is defeated (it's gonna happen at some point) she could gain wisdom from his defeat, seeing someone becoming so power hungry that it destroys them would set her on a different path and finally make her a real force for good, thats just my two cents though

YES!!! I would like/love to see FROST as a playable DLC Character in Mortal Kombat X

Oh, yeah I've seen the story long ago.
Didn't pay attention to that. Kotal Kahn gives me 0 interest so I usually zone out when he talks in his monotone voice.
 
Liu Kang, Scorpion, Goro, and Shang Tsung use fire in their own way. Yet, people are making a big stink over one more character that can wield ice? I get the impression that people who claim more cannot be done with ice powers probably haven't played anything outside MK.
