Freddy Kruegar Trailer already has over a Million Views on Youtube.

they wanted this game to be in the spotlight again it seems, hopefully they will put its popularity to use and add more DLC
 
Like I've been saying, to anyone who says this was a horrible decision, this Summer's schedule wasn't that bad

1 New, 2 Returning Characters, and 1 Guest.

IMO, that's pretty well planned out, and hold out hope for the same next cycle if your fav old fighter didn't get picked.

Please dl the Compatibility Pack people, don't be asses.

I'll DEFINATLEY be getting the comp. pack. Unmasked subzero sweetened the deal for me big time.
 
Freddy Krueger, really?

They are kidding, right? Why don't they put serious characters like the ones from Armageddon ex: Shinnok. What would his fatality be? Drag you into his freaking ugly nightmare? What do you think about this new dlc character that is coming?

Yes. Freddy. Really. Get the f*ck over it already. If you don't want him in the game, don't buy the DLC. Personally, I think it's a silly but fun idea and just because this MK is now a serious (tournament) fighter doesn't mean that they shouldn't still have fun with it.
And yes, there are already 2 other threads devoted to Freddy Krueger.

I've probabaly literally seen 15 of these cry me a river anti freddy threads. They all say the same thing and its just another repeat of the kratos announcement. People got over it and for those who did like him being in the game enjoyed it. Not everyone agrees with you and its all been said already so quit your *****ing.
 
Emm, why was this thread moved to online gaming? It seems to have fitted better in the DLC section.

Also, I thought this was the official thread, If it was not then why have we told to put all freddy related matrial into this one?

Haven't decided if I'm getting Freddy. I WILL get the comp pack regardless, why?--cuz it's free and I don't want to hinder someone elses opportunity to see Freddy online.
I'm real curious what Freddy's babality will be.
 
So he throws Scorpion in a fire.. wow okay so Scorpion lives in the NR which is basically hell, also has fire moves and that hurts him.. ok. Also that hole in the ground fatality prolly worse yet. Even Cage's trophy is better than that.
 
It's the same business that happened with Kratos : hate and despise at first, next, just people get used with that, and later, even try to play with the guest character, when bored with current MK roster, or just for curiosity purpose ......

Nothing that is in the game , before Freddy, will be prejudiced when Freddy gonna be released in a couple of weeks straight ..... nothing. There is no change in Story Mode, and, ladder endings are mostly non-canon stuff, and online, well, online you can always deny a challenge, you are not obligated to keep a match, or even, accept one, if a player just decides to pick a character that annoy you .....

I don't know, I think that the way to deal with this Freddy stuff is acting with maturity and without being stressful ..... some people are being extremely radical with the subject ..... sure that Freddy is a guest and does not fit totally in MK Universe, but, guests mean to be guests ..... not part of the original roster, but just an extra stuff, that's it ..... at least Freddy is violent and cruel, with a pinch of dark humour, so, he is not ridiculous portrayed.

For every 1 Anti-Freddy thread there's another "Freddy iz teh bewbz!!!" type of thread.
They're all merged together into one 4TH DLC Character / Freddy thread, so it doesn't matter anyways.

I have to say, I think anyone still speaking out against Freddy just needs to deal with it. I voiced my many complaints, but now I'm just being positive about it. Make the best of the situation, whether you decide to use the character or simply own him to fight against. Complaining accomplishes nothing and takes up your time, and boycotting hurts the potential for DLC.

Why not test him out, even if you don't like Freddy in MK then you might like his playing style. Remember it's a game and the gameplay is what makes it fun. If you don't want to do that then use it as an opportunity to fight a new character. Otherwise, you can insist on arguing about it with people who insist on arguing back. But that's nothing but a waste of time, and everything that could be said has already been said.

Another good point made, MK has become a legitimate tournament fighter, you would think Freddy being in this game would be more dignifying than if it was one of the previous ones.

kratos is not a character in my eyes, he's just a playable filler in a really good game

freddy's sadistic and funny personality ,and physical appearence make him indeed fit more than kratos. but in the end,both of them really dont fit IMO
