why the hell wouldnt johnny cage place an oscar in his head, or mileena eat his face?
If NRS pussyout again, then they shouldnt bother with guests anymore
 
IMO, I think the big reason why Kratos got special treatment was because they wanted to "respect his character"; we all know Kratos doesn't have much of a jokey side to him lol. They didn't want to see him get embarrassed by Ermac's Pest Control, Johnny's And The Winner Is..., etc. Freddy has an over-the-top personality like the MK characters, so I'm thinking he'll be treated more like the MK characters instead of "the ultimate badass" like Kratos.
 
i mean freddy is viloent enough and his blades do fit in the mk universe its just the guest character thing if those movies never existed and then he was the 4th dlc character as a new person he wouldnt get so much hate

If the movies never existed and he was a brand new character for the MK universe, I think everyone here would just be confused as to why the hell he's wearing a striped sweater and a fedora.

that is true but i mean its not like any other characters have silly out fits look at johnny cages alt a tuxedo but the black one dose look badass

Nah, his weaknesses (in all of the originals at least) are being pulled out of the Dream World (Dream Realm in the game), Holy Water, his mom, and his kid.
 
Anyone Giving Up Their Main For Freddy?

I haven't really developed a main character besides Johnny Cage, but I might add Freddy to my arsenal. Anyone else ready for the nightmare?

I'm sure a lot of people are planning on picking up Freddy, but I think you should wait to see how good he plays before deciding on trash your current mains

True, but I haven't really chosen a main yet because I've only had the game for about two weeks and I knew their was DLC coming. To me I was just going to wait it out before picking someone up and really sticking to them. Although I am very happy with Rain at the moment.

He will be novel for about 2 minutes - then people will not play him. Dreadful idea imo.

I'll pick him up and give him a go. I only use Kitana because she felt natural to play as, I haven't had that feeling with anyone else but I'm hoping Freddy will change that, I need a tag team!

Nah, him and Skarlet are the 2 Dlc's I won't be picking up. Don't mind fighting them tho :P

I just started using Kitana and if Freddy plays just how he looks in the preview video then Kitana and Freddy would seem like a perfect tag team. I just haven't really found any type of fun in playing tag team in the game :P

Well, kudos to NRS if this succeeds in bringing in new fans. But among the existing fanbase, the announcement really got us polarised. I hope NRS know what they're doing.

I'm 100% excited and ready for Freddy but I really don't see him as getting up there anywhere near my top 5 (Cyrax, Rain, Noob, Ermac, Raiden) as far as my bests go. I think I'll prolly use him as a play around and mess with people kinda guy rather than making him one of my best. So I guess I'm gonna stick to Mortal Kombat for my mains :)

lol my mess around characters are noob, ermac, and sheeva just for the feedback I get from people :p
I definitely get what you mean though. Freddy looks good, but I just see him as being a stronger Scorpion that doesn't quite look like he would be able to handle a good Kung Lao or Ermac. Well I guess we will just have to wait and see

I swear to god I change my main like every 2 weeks. I still havent explored the full depth of this game, nor all of its characters. But subby, smoke, and scorpion found a way to my heart, and Freddy might fit in just as well.
