Shouldn't Moloch's head be bigger?

And why is Cassie so small compared to Quan? I mean, it makes sense for him to be bigger. But that big?

I highly doubt Shao Khan will be back. Ed Boon said that he does not like repeat things. He might have a cameo or appear in a small recap of MK9 at the start of the game, but I think that will be it. I do think Shinnok will likely be a playable character and not a main boss of the game. In Shinnok's bio card Ed Boon admits that he wishes that Shinnok was not a boss in MK4 because MK always been known to have a big and scary boss characters.

Well, Kotal was giant. So, maybe they're adding diversity by making other races/species (like Tarkatans and Saurians) bigger/smaller?

I think you're onto something there... i don't know why but i instantly remembered those huge Tarkatans in the challenge tower missions haha
I doubt reptile's size would change much, he's such a sneaky character.. i guess if anything he might be slightly shorter.

It's made by the exact same team. The concept is there but plays different. I would imagine Ed Boon( the sole developer of every Midway and NRS Mortal Kombat game, ask him to change stuff at will #noobde) Did change his mind. This is evidenced as Darkseid was meant to be the orignal boss but they couldn't programme his Fatality in time. His model is there though.

I just saw this and was like Oh hell yeah. Its the little stuff like this that makes this game incredible to me! Cameo's and other little stuff! Keep it up!!!
 
I find it interesting that they havent revealed more new characters yet considering most of the cast is going to be new characters. I wonder if they are just revealing the returning cast first to get it out of the way.

They could have the rest of the new characters be a surprise. This meaning we will see them when the game is finally released. I can see it happening, but I can't.

He probably means that because MK9 is basically a retcon/fan service remake of MK1,2,3... that it doesn't really count :/

After MK Armageddon, Ed Boon gave an interview stating that Mortal Kombat 8 would be a brand new game on next gen consoles (PS3, X360). he said it would be dark, gritty, violent and would bring in a bunch of new characters to the game. That game was shelved for MK vs DC which was most likely forced on the team by Midway who was bleeding cash at the time and was desperate for money.

After the travesty that was MK vs. DC, most fans probably gave up on the series. MK 9 was the reboot that the series needed to let fans know that Netherealm is serious about the game and that they were able to bring MK back to its former glory. You couldnt really jump straight into MKX after MK vs. DC. The series needed a fresh start before they could move forward again.

MK X is most likely the game we were going to get after Armageddon which is why people call it the "true" MK8

oooooohh they brought back his tall spikes! That's what was missing from MK9.
Those portal swords tho, so hyped!


Cant believe there was a time where I didn't like Quan Chi.
