Quan Chi Revealed

Actually FJ, those three are close to being 50ish, but technically: Both Law and Paul are 48, while Kazuya is a year older than both of them. Although you may be right on the still youthful look.

As for the Quan Chi reveal, I'm very impressed AND about damn time they changed his outfit. Looks a bit MK4ish, which should be appropriate, especially with a position as Shinnok's right hand sorcerer. His Warlock variation specials were insane as hell, mainly with his portals, sending his opponents all over the place. X-Ray was brutal and his fatality is cringe-worthy, although looking forward to the full version of it.

On the foot reveals:

#2 Might be a new kharacter
#3 Possibly be either Kai or Fujin (latter could be a possible for foot #6 as well)
#4 Mostly likely Skarlet. If not, then either new kharacter or Ashrah returning.
#5 Not sure

You haven't seen the whole fatality yet?

Cameo!

If it is him, good. He was a terrible character.

Also, anyone notice how much bigger Quan Chi is next to Cassie? It's crazy.

Would you be mad if Quan Chi resurrected Shao Kahn and he was the Sub Boss?

8 Regular fights
Quan Chi - Mini Boss
Shao Kahn - Sub Boss
Shinnok - Boss
Evil Lui Kang - Secrect Boss

I highly doubt Shao Khan will be back. Ed Boon said that he does not like repeat things. He might have a cameo or appear in a small recap of MK9 at the start of the game, but I think that will be it. I do think Shinnok will likely be a playable character and not a main boss of the game. In Shinnok's bio card Ed Boon admits that he wishes that Shinnok was not a boss in MK4 because MK always been known to have a big and scary boss characters.

I know that was 2006, but I doubt Ed Boon's opinion has changed since then.

I actually don't think Shao Kahn would be resurrectable. He's not normally killed, he was banished by the Elder Gods for having broken the rules of Mortal Kombat. I don't think he even exists anymore. Completely erased from existence.

Death doesn't mean alot in Mortal Kombat. The Elder Gods know this. So simply killing Shao Kahn wouldn't be that much of a punishment.

If Shao Kahn returns then I don't see happening until MK12 at best. He return in the Gamecube version of MKD making him a playable character for the first time in nearly 9 years after MKT came out. Shao Kahn is a character that I don't mind coming back once a decade.

Shao Kahn doesn't die. He is like Raiden, he simply reforms/is reborn with time. You can see this in Skarlett's ending. In MK6(MKD) the same thing can be heard in konquest mode that Shao Kahn is much like Raiden.

On a side note. MK9 is technically MK8 because VS games don't count as canon/sequels (otherwise Street Fighter 4 would be like Street fighter 12), or if you want to get really technical MK9 is technically an MK Zero/Alpha because it's a different timeline.

I wish. MK9 is MK9 because that's what NRS calls it. Changing it now would just invite a multitude of confusion.
