Who do you plan to be better with in Mortal Kombat?

You'd be surprised who you can find on the internet who plays MK offline in a 20 minutes radius of you. Within this last year, i've found about 10. Expecting it to grow in 2011.

Really? How did you manage to find these people? I mean I hit up the local arcade every week pretty much, and the MKII cabinet is always empty. That's pretty much the only way I can think of, other than posting asking who lives by me that is :P

What about lag-projectiles? O_o I'm gonna allow you to think about that for a second, I know I just blew your mind.

THOSE BASTARDS! Sending Lag Projectiles at us!

Exactly.

Anytime you play a game that lives in frames, netplay will **** it up no matter what. I REALLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE to seek out local players, friends, family to play this game OFFline!!!

As much as they are putting into these backgrounds/arenas with animations, its going to be crazy to see how it plays online. I mean, in UMK3, the Waterfront stage lags like a mutha****a due to the animated water, ESPECIALLY in the DS version (online or off lmao).

Should be interesting. But you hit GOLD on the first part of this post i quoted.

Hopefully with the increased processing power, it doesn't lag quite as much? I can hope, right?

As for me, I live in the middle of nowhere, and the people that do play video games have a phallic obsession with CoD: BO. Sad.

Wow, really? I never knew it lagged that much, even offline!? Hopefully MK9 doesn't lag at all.

Agreed, and I likey the avatar.

I was just thinking, it will really be a shame if they've worked hard at making netplay so feature-rich, but it turns out the netplay itself isn't any good. I'll be relying on it too, as barely any of my friends play MK, so if there's major hiccups, then I'm screwed.

Thread response - Sonya, Nightwolf, Sindel. I never bothered to get a firm grasp on those characters, simply because I didn't find them appealing. But everyone's looking great, so hopefully they'll be enjoyable and I do get better with those characters.

I always use Raiden, if he is in the game, so I plan on using him in MK9, without a doubt.

I also like to play as Kabal and have improved a lot with him.

I'm going with SubZero/Reptile as main (but I deny playing Reptile with out classic costume ..) ..but I loved to abuse the shit out of noob in MKT, so he's definitely getting a shot. ;)

but I'm interested in the whole roster ..so can't tell yet who I am ending up with in the end ..

I want to get better at playing with Johnny Cage and I will do my best not to spam his projectiles:) and Jax, I am not very good close in but that is where hard work, hours and hours of practice, and of course blood will allow me to be great in close kombat.

Netplay isnt ever good. Its just accepted because arcades are dead and its easier to sit in your own house and play people. But netplay changes the game. its as simple as that.

Ermac. After all these years I've only recently started really playing as him in UMK3 and learning his ins and outs, so if he plays anything like that in MK9 (which he damn well should), it would be stupid not to pick up where I left off.
