Who do you plan to be better with in Mortal Kombat?

So far the top runners for me are Sub-Zero, Cyrax and Noob Saibot. Ermac is another possibility, but we haven't seen him in extended play, so I'm not counting him yet.

Sonya will be my main, Ermac and I think Jade will be my breaks. In saying that Im going to do training with more of the characters and go from there.

Most interested in Jax and Stryker, so I'll hit the lab with them first. Noob, Ermac, Kitana, Kano, Kabal are other characters I'm interested in.

I haven't seen nearly enough of anyone yet. But I fully plan to main Scorpion. And if I had to choose from what I've seen I'd have to say I'd like to improve my Noob game.

Reptile and Scorpion will always be my favourites and I play them to death anyway, so it'll be Kung Lao I'll try to improve on. I've always liked him, but he's been my fourth favourite so I'll be trying to get better with him.

EVERYONE!

But that's assuming I like the overall game. If the core gameplay is ass, I'll get bored quickly and be done with it.

After thinking about this, I'm gonna see what I can do with Sheeva. She's shitty in UMK3 but she definitely has a lot of potential, and considering what they've done with the other people, she's bound to get some much needed development.

I've always been a Sub-Zero player, but I think I'm going to see if I can't do more with Scorpion. Maybe Raiden down the line too.

I'm going to master Johnny Cage for starters, because he's my polygonal soulmate and we must be together.

...then I'll move on to Sonya. I'm loving her design in this game and from what little gameplay I've seen of her, she looks like a force to be reckoned with. Another I'm really looking forward to getting better with is Ermac. I really like him, but rarely play as him.

That is too weird. I was planning to play Sonya as well, I've been practicing with her on UMK3 haha. As for Ermac he's always been one of my favorites. Great minds think alike :P

THAT ATTITUDE is the cancer of fighting games. You only say that because your too weak to find away around it.

Spamming is a tatic. Crying is a retaliation.

PLAY. TO. WIN!

Agreed. I used to cry as a retaliation, but no more. If you lose, it's your lack of ability to overcome what your opponent is throwing at you.

Or lag, but I don't know how that is going to affect this game.

What about lag-projectiles? O_o I'm gonna allow you to think about that for a second, I know I just blew your mind.

Exactly.

Anytime you play a game that lives in frames, netplay will **** it up no matter what. I REALLY ENCOURAGE EVERYONE to seek out local players, friends, family to play this game OFFline!!!

As much as they are putting into these backgrounds/arenas with animations, its going to be crazy to see how it plays online. I mean, in UMK3, the Waterfront stage lags like a mutha****a due to the animated water, ESPECIALLY in the DS version (online or off lmao).

Should be interesting. But you hit GOLD on the first part of this post i quoted.

Yeah but what about for people like me? Family hates video games, friends play shooting games, absolutely no tournaments by where I live. All I can practice and rely on is online play :/

Wow, really? I never knew it lagged that much, even offline!? Hopefully MK9 doesn't lag at all.

You'd be surprised who you can find on the internet who plays MK offline in a 20 minutes radius of you. Within this last year, i've found about 10. Expecting it to grow in 2011.

Well, I thinks it's inevitable because some will exist irregardless.
