Had the opportunity to see the one and only Devin Townsend a couple of nights ago. Such a talented and funny guy, nice too. Even got to shake his hand after the show cause I was standing at the very front near the stage.
Ocean Machine is definitely one of my all time favorite albums from any band, so I lost my shit when Regulator came on, the old school album art on screen completed it. He doesn't tour too often in the states, so this was a big deal for me. Personally I prefer Strapping Young Lad (which is similar except heavier and way angrier) to his solo stuff but I never got a chance to see them, so seeing him was a real pleasure.

I got into a mood for new stuff the other day, and I normally listen to Tech N9ne and Jay-Z, but recently discovered (Via Bojack Horseman) that I love Grouplove! So I got on Pandora radio and started a Grouplove station and discovered several tasty jams but the er that's in my head right now is Breezeblocks by alt-J from the album An Awesome Wave... the rift "..please don't go, please don't go, I love you so, I love you so... Please break my heart.." is deeply embedded in my head right now.

Saw DOWN last night, First time seeing them too, was even better than I expected. Heavy as fvck, I definitely wont forget it. Some guy dressed as santa clause was in the crowd, and Phil let him on stage to fool around. Also he smoked a joint on stage with some guy dressed as Jesus. Good times. Phil Anselmo is just as badass as I thought. Also this makes this the 2nd bald frontman making constipated faces I've seen in one week. Gonna chill out on concerts for a while...maybe.
