I guess that explains why so many people wanted Johnny Cage back in MKX, he completes the ninja spectrum!

He had no such abilities in his debut. He was just a brown, bulky UMK3 ninja who could throw fireballs and punch the ground. Every other ability he had was pure fan fiction.

If he didn't have that ninja costume in Special Forces, but instead looked something like Jarek or No-Face, he would have faded into obscurity just like they did.

I don't know that that's true. There is an appeal to the incongruity of someone who has a vaguely ninja-inspired appearance but is a huge grappler who likes his noisemakers, and I love that NRS took full advantage of it with his design in MKX, but I never liked Fujin's powerset and I never will, while Tremor's appeals to me. His appearance doesn't really change that one way or the other.
 
Honestly, this video is why I jumped on the Tremor bandwagon years ago




Seeing that fan made video immediately gave me ideas for fatalities, his move-set, and just his overall potential as a character. The fact that he's a ninja didn't really affect me, even though I was a fan of all the ninjas back then, but again, just the potential a character like that can have. I'm just hoping he's not the Kotal Kahn slow as hell type :(
 
I was one of the first trmk members to support him so I feel really pleased about him becoming an official character.

Spectrum as in ninjas who were officially introduced. It's why I didn't include Khrome. Tremor not being playable always felt like a piece was missing, especially considering he was replaced by Rain in Trilogy.
 
I wasn't expecting anyone including fan made stuff, especially that crap.


I guess white could go to Sub-Zero's Revenant's second color then.
 
Tremor in MKX looks great. I never like the idea of him being in a official MK game because Special Forces shows that he did nothing but pound the ground. MK fans love ninjas, so they wanted a new ninja since we haven't had a new one in ages. Fans wanted Tremor as early as MKDA and a lot of fans where 50/50 on the idea. I remember on Gamefaqs there was a big flame war about the idea of Tremor being in Deception back in 2004.
 
I won't judge Tremor until we've seen his gameplay, though I am not a fan of his looks. It's boring and bland, imo. But he might be fun to play as.
 
I'm glad they introduced him as Black Dragon rather than another Lin Kuei ninja, although obviously I'd love him to have an UMK3 brown/orange ninja skin as an alt. Black Dragon needed another character at some point, whereas at least the Lin Kuei have Sub-Zero, Smoke, Frost and possibly Cyrax still around.

Chameleon and Khameleon?
 
Well, if NR wants to complete the color spectrum.
MK11 can have "PHLOX", a pink ninja (Is not joke, i think a plant, sleep powder, roses and spike manipulator can be badass on MK) just imagine the Fatalities and Brutalities.
The other can be a White Ninja. (The opposite of Noob Saibot), that means LIGHT, something like ASHRAH in special moves, mixed with a fast character...

A plant-based character would be interesting. But beware when adding the word "ninja" to it because many people will start to strike down your idea lol
 
Well... considering Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile and Ermac are maskless in X, I am totally fine with the "ninjas".

Tremor looks beyond amazing. I knew he had potential. People always whine about how lame a previously under-develloped character is, but then when they see him make a come-back, more fleshed-out, they all praise like there's no tomorrow. It's just the hypocrisy that annoys me, that's all.

I would really love to see Rain with his X costume to be DLC too, but I don't expect it. I am fine with yellow, blue, green, red and brown.

About the pink ninja being able to control plants, roses and spikes... looks and sounds awesome as well. I don't really think he needs a mask or the typical V outfit though LOL

His bio says his relationship with Kano and the black dragon is unclear or something like that, I think he's factionless

He is still a deserter of the Lin Kuei.
