Tremor Kombat Kast -- July 21st

Why wouldn't I be (slightly) upset? Three months of support is trash. Street Fighter IV got nearly a decade. The least MKX can get is a year.

The way WB/NRS handled this game is making me want to wait for the complete edition of their games from now on.
Capcom was supposed to have moved onto SF5 within 2-3 years. In fact, this is around the time we are supposed to be seeing Street Fighter ELEVEN at the very least.

What planet do you live on?

Street Fighter - 1987
Street Fighter II - 1991
Street Fighter III - 1997
Street Fighter IV - 2008
Street Fighter V - 2016

There have always been epic gaps between main SF titles. Where the hell do you get SF XI from?

Those are VERY excessive wait times for sequels, not only by modern standards, but by 1987 standards as well. Tekken, Soul Edge/Calibur, and Mortal Kombat all debuted after Street Fighter, and ALL of them have more installments than SF does. (MK has 10, Tekken has 7, and Soul Edge/Calibur has 6.) Find me an explanation for THAT.

And that's why there are not lots of horrible half-assed titles in the middle, more doesn't mean better. (For the record I never liked SF)

"More doesn't mean better" exclusively applies word-for-word to Golf.

And SF DOES need more frequent sequels for Story purposes. We STILL don't know the official winner of the SFII tournament, for crying out loud.

Yet Street Fighter is still the most popular fighting game in the world.

With my statement I meant that because there are less titles they don't end up making horrible games like MKDA or MKA.

They don't suffer the "Call of Duty effect"

Yet Street Fighter has stopped in time.

I mean, SF games are just the same EVERY TIME.

They arguably change the graphics and some mechanics, release a new title, use almost the same characters, always the same villains (Seth and Oni? oooooooooooooooooooohhhhhh), they got not improvement on story.

Don't get me wrong, SF is a reference to the fighting video game world when we talk about debuts, but they are no mirror anymore IMO.

And there are people that criticize things on modern games, specially MK, like story mode/konquest/any form of story, which is a big improvement on gaming experience (for fighting games, of course), and makes the lore much more rich, to have a plain 1 vs 1 like Street Fighter has always been and always will be.

My comment probably has nothing to do with what was being discussed  but I think it's somehow related to what I've read.

You simply don't know what you're talking about if you think SF is the same every time. The game changes dramatically every new iteration. Is Ryu still wearing a white gi? Of course, but that fact pales in comparison to how much the games themselves differ.

I would rather have no story mode if that meant more characters, more dlc support or an even deeper gameplay.

Story mode is so irrelevant I wouldn't even mind if it wasn't there. It lasts 2 or 3 hours and it's done, 0 replayability.

Where's the disagree button?

I don't play Street Fighter regularly (mostly whenever I get my hands on it, which is not that much), but I'm not going to sit here and say things that are simply not true. Every Street Fighter game is different. I don't know all the stuff that changes per game but... I know it's not the same.

I think hardcore fans would know... even casuals. I'm just someone who plays it at an arcade whenever I get the chance and know that there's differences.

I like Juri...

But, with Tremor... I hope the kast will please me. I don't like this character. Never understood the huge fandom behind this guy. I get that a lot of people wanted an earth-bending guy or whatever but I dunno. Tremor wasn't the kind of character I'd like to see that from.

People only want Tremor because he's a ninja.

That is simply not true, well partially at least. He is an earth/rock/metal character, that's why people like him, at least why many of us do, his abilities are something entirely new and original in the series, and not just another pyromancer, like we didn't have enough of those we got another one as DLC... I'm looking at you Tanya.

But yeah some people may like him just because he looks remotely like a ninja.
