Tremor Kombat Kast -- July 21st

I will destroy every house in my street in sheer joy, then attempt to explain my actions to the police.

I doubt they would announce a new character in another character's Kombat Kast, though. EVO or Gamescom, I guess?

They're showing off Tremor at EVO most likely, grand finals for MKX is this Sunday.

I wonder what could happen Sunday. Maybe a trailer for Tremor? Or a trailer with an announcement of a second Kombat Pass?
Hmm, interesting. Sunday is the EVO finals day, so I guess that means they'll be showing off something at EVO.

We already know the Kombat Kast is Tuesday, and so Tremor will likely be released before August.

I wonder if they will announce more DLC. Hmm. What was the situation with Injustice? Did they actually announce more DLC (or at least the intention to do more) before the fourth character was released?

I would love an announcement on Sunday, but realistically all I can really think of is a trailer for Tremor.

Zod was released on July 2nd and he was the last of the season pass characters to be released, and MMH was announced at EVO on July 14th. However, MMH was released on July 30th and Zatanna came out just two weeks later on August 13th, so it's possible that we could be seeing more characters shortly after Tremor is released. I wouldn't be surprised if we got a hint for more DLC in the tremor trailer as well, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

"This long"? The game has finished it's entire Season Pass in less than 2 months. Ed Boon even mentioned, during development of the game, that they were way ahead of schedule.

Not to mention that Injustice, their last game, had 6 dlc characters.

I agree with this.
That said, though, taking a look at it from the flip-side, MKX does have 3 variations per character, so we essentially got the equivalent of 12 Injustice characters with the Kombat Pack (4 characters X 3 variations).
Again, I hope that you are 100% right (for the possibility of Fujin), but a part of me feels a bit doubtful.
I'd rather not expect it and get a pleasant surprise, than hope for it and feel let down.

At this point, I can't see them going back from all their recent teases. I know I'm more than likely setting myself up for disappointment, but, idk, I just think they have teased too much for there not to be more content coming. Boon's recent tweet, the other one where he teased #IfThereIsAKombatPack2, that Fujin tweet he deleted a while back, saying "hmmm" when asked for a Klassic Tremor skin, and more.

If Tremor really is the final character, then I believe they went a little overboard with the teasing and the trolling, because there's quite a few tweets/interviews that support they may be cooking more stuff up in their lab.

Now, I wouldn't be mad if they weren't, but still, its kind of a dick move to do that to fans instead of just saying "The Kombat Pack is the only thing we're focusing on" or some other quote developers usually use to let the fans down easy :b (Unless they did and I didn't notice)

Final Fighter makes me think that Termor is our last DLC fighter. Don't be upset if they are done with MKX after next week.
Why wouldn't I be (slightly) upset? Three months of support is trash. Street Fighter IV got nearly a decade. The least MKX can get is a year.

The way WB/NRS handled this game is making me want to wait for the complete edition of their games from now on.

I doubt there's a second pack. Probably just 2 more characters and some skins.

I could see something this happening, with the rest of the MKX "support" being patches for certain things and different MKX Living Towers for the Premier, Daily and Hourly Towers.

3 variations = 3 characters is not even remotely true.

It's the same character with the same model, same animations, same finishers and some costumes.

2 or 3 move per variation, plus 1 brutality and 1 minor costume difference does not demand the 20th fraction of time a new character does.

Tell that to Ed Boon, then, as he equated MKX with having 75+ characters when factoring in 3 variations per character, during the time of E3 2014.

We all know Boon is full of shit lol

Granted, but that doesn't take away from Boon and company feeling like 25 main roster MKX characters = 75 regular characters.
TO THEM, it may have very well felt that way, due to all the work that went into them.

That said, I'm more inclined to believe an Injustice type of DLC model as BBBLP mentioned, with 2 more DLC after the Kombat Pack, rather than a 2nd Kombat Pack with 4 more characters.
I'm sorry, but I just don't see NRS working for another 3 months (until October) on 4 more DLC characters.
The most I could see is another month and a half (end of August) on 2 more characters, if that.
