Actually, about that PC version...I'm hearing speculation that KP2 won't be on the PC, and such speculation is based on the lack of a Steam logo on the trailer. If that's true, that just means less revenue for KP2.

Thats pretty much exactly that though, someone who is not a fan of the series coming in and buying a game because of a guest is stupid. And then they want more guests. Casual fans should not be able to influence a game so heavily. They pick up a game for 2 characters that dont have anything to do with the lore, make them add 2 more that still have nothing to do with the lore, and then they drop the game until mk11 when they make them put more characters that have nothing to do with the lore

Most people I'm seeing are saying shit like "Oh well I like Bo Rai Cho and Tri-borg, BUT I DON'T LIKE THE OTHER TWO, HOW COME MY FAVORITE ISN'T IN!?". This is the most childish post I have ever seen on TRMK.

I see that you're the kind of person who judges others by comparing himself. Sorry mate, but not everyone here runs after something shiny. And that's why you just went bullshit mode here.

We bought MKX, because it was promised as something godlike awesome. Did their deliver? Yes and no. We all know the story here. PC issues, Dropping last gens (after promising them), lying, etc
But the game was fun. So at this part you're right. We bought it, because we loved/liked the game. Hell I even bought Tanya as she is one my favorites.
Even so after so many slaps in the face, trolls and bullshiting, one gets tired and those who have some sort of dignity start backing away.
Now we have KP2 which is nothing more, but a f%^king insult to those who have waited for some proper MK characters. Two of them do not have place in MK, since there were already 2 guest characters.
Bo Rai Cho was one of my waited characters. Tri Borg (after calming down) also looks like a good execution of putting 3 characters in one body. EVEN SO. I am not buying KP2. Just like I didn't buy remaining KP1 characters (apart Tanya and even her, I bought on G2A with very low price) And I promised myself not to buy another MK game until

Stop cashing on guest characters (1-2 guest is fine. Anymore and it is f%^k you)

I know that is not happening anytime soon. So I pretty much can already say I am done with MK.

Also you're right about one thing concerning this post. It won't change NRS mind. NRS won't see this thread and say "oh crap these guys are serious". If my animated hand drawn trailers and countless comic pictures about Frost didn't make even the slightest impact (they actually ignored a lot of my posts concerning Frost and it wasn't those "I want Frost!"), nor massive amount of people asking for Fujin, Sareena or Baraka faze them, then thread like this won't do jack of shit. And I think everyone who pledged themselves here knows that.

That's cute. If Street Fighter is garbage, than what does it make MKX? Cause NRS can't even make a proper online mode. You get insane lags just by playing with someone who lives in the same damn country. Yet Street Fighter manages to connect with people from another side of the globe and I can play with them smooth matches with zero lag.

Nice word twisting here. Let me explain, how it actually is. Do I hate casual fans? No. Why should I hate them to begin with? NOW Do I hate the influence they have on the game? Yeah.

Reasons why: MK long time fans who spent last decade of their lives, while following and buying MK games, get shit thrown in their face so that some casual player who just came in, while shit is hot, could get his cheap MOVIE satisfaction for extra buck.
Does that makes us superior to casuals, because we followed MK for 10+ years? No. But do we deserve some sort of f$%king respect, ESPECIALLY after all that FINANCIAL support? F%^k yeah we do. And this KP2 is a goddamn insult. Hell. I couldn't play mk 3D era console versions as I didn't have the money back then. Even so years later when MK9 came out on PC, I spent 3 months working nightshift, just so I could buy it.
But I have friends who worked their asses for years and spent their tiny salary money on every MK, just because they loved it this much. And yesterday I got to watch how same guys were sitting confused as they get to watch how MK becomes into some retarded Horror Movie all stars fighting game. Just to please some casuals who gonna forget MKX in few weeks.

I mean they did an awesome work with Jason and Predator gameplay. When you play as them on towers, you can actually feel what you're playing as authentic horror movie characters... ONLY I CHECK THE F%^KING TITLE AND IT SAYS THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYING F%^KING MORTAL KOMBAT.

I hate when people feel the need to separate fans into groups because some haven't played the series as long as we have. And because a handful of people didn't get what they wanted after months of asking and constant pestering and bugging the developers, we have to put blame somewhere, so let's just throw it onto the group of people that should be respected less by us hardcore fans and be even more upset.

Because of this constant blaming on a group of people, many want to boycott or sign a petition, flooding Twitter and personally attacking all of the Netherrealm employees, claiming that they all deserve the amount of hatred they're getting is making me not want to come here for a while until things finally calm down. I don't want to talk to a bunch of angry people who can't stop being so upset at something so minuscule. I think I will.

Are you being serious? Did anyone here say "let's burn those casuals?" No. We say "let's burn NRS for being a$$holes". Do we indirectly blame casuals, because NRS caters to them now? No. It is good that there are more people joining the game, but if you favor one group of people more than the other, when there is an issue.

And you can't avoid that. It is a fact. There is a group of people who spent more time for the franchise and then there is a group of fresh new people. You can't avoid groups. They just happen. Especially as MK isn't some fresh new game. It is a game with 10+ years of history. There are people who come from MK1 days.
And it already makes it hard, as one group sees things differently than the other. But if developer manages to keep the balance, than it is easier for those two groups to coexist. But if suddenly developer decides to cater for one group more than the other, balance gets destroyed and you have "riots".

It works both ways. It also wouldn't be right if MK only favorited long term fans. That would be unfair for new players, who want to enter the scene.
But at the same time it is unfair, when developer starts putting new players above old ones. Cause then it looks like. Thanks for your support throughout all these years. But now you're old news so gtfo or enjoy getting shit in your face.

Why for example Street Fighter manages to do this shit without making a warzone. There are old hands who come from Street Fighter 1 days and then we have new players who came in through Street Fighter 4. Yet you don't see people there hanging each other. To be honest really friendly community. And that is because developer actually tries to learn from it's mistakes and believes in it's own material. That way they keep balance, and that is the reason why games like street fighter 4 flourished for so many years.

And here... it is more or less. Bitterness. I can't blame a casual new fan. He didn't do anything to me. But I do feel bitter when after YEARS of waiting, I get switched out for a better cash cow. You just can't help it and feel bitter about it.

So sorry, but expecting community not to be made into groups is nothing more than a pipe dream. As there will always be old and new player base.
