Am I the only one who found Li Mei VERY pretty? I loved her outfit. Very classic Chinese look, She looks mature and more serious. I can definitely see a Chun Li vibe on her. I'm all for a playable Li Mei DLC.

I don't understand why the likes of Rain and Tanya are in the game with new costumes and voices, and then...

Well, like you say, unnecessary characters. There are even characters with non-canon default skins because they should really just have been NPCs.

NRS have played this far too safe.

Sorry Lord, I´m trying to avoid story spoilers... So I´m trying not to read anything... I just want to see some images or gifs like that of Mileena... (and I saw it because I already knew she dies), but I don´t want to know anything else, specially of Kitana!!!!

Yes, it's pretty scary like I said. The inclusion of Kung Lao, Liu Kang and Kitana was bullshit. Especially """older""" versions of them. I mean c'mon! Plus, Reptile and Ermac were as useless as they could get.

Fujin, Tanya and Rain were all over the place with new designs. I loved Li Mei (very pretty woman), Frost (bad ass Liu Kuei) and Sareena NPC's. Sindel looks BEAUTIFUL, by far the best looking female on the game.

I am speechless by the roster choices for X, especially after watching the story. Weren't people that willing to let go of Kung Lao, Kitana, Liu Kang, Ermac and Reptile just for this game? They really weren't all that necessary... They're in X merely because they're popular.

Nothing makes sense to me anymore. So basically Kung Lao, Kitana, Liu Kang, everyone in MK9 who died is still dead? Their primaries are literally just costumes?

Personally I'm glad story doesn't completely dictate the roster. Gameplay >>> story. I'd rather have Reptile than Baraka, Kitana than Tanya, etc.

I don't think she shows up again. Probably a prisoner of Kotal or in the wind.

Alright, so basically,

Tanya is the ambassador of the rebellion army, and defeats Cassie Cage, and Saves Kano's life, and is not on the roster. (main)
Kung Lao shows up as a zombie 2 times, in a tarkatan flashback, and is on the roster.

Rain is the general of the rebellion army beside Tanya, kicks Kotal Kahn off the roof, saves Mileena from being killed by kotal, and tries to teach Mileena how to lead, and is not on the roster.
Kitana shows up as a zombie once, and then is shown again in the ending, and is on the roster.

I guess NRS really only put the most known characters on the roster for the casuals, huh?
 
Kung Lao/Kitana/Liu Kang primary costumes are basically what if? scenarios. I don't see the problem, especially since people would complain if Kitana's primary was her zombie form, for example.

Story importance is not the only factor that decides roster inclusion. Shaun Himmerick said this on Twitter. NRS favoritism, fan popularity and gameplay/variation potential also come into it.
