[SPOILER] Everything about story mode. Pics, videos, discussion, etc.

Awesome to see Taven and Daegon again! Though I seriously hope they do not kill off Daegon, since he has lots of potential to be a good future villain in the lore. MK is in need of good villains and I definitely see Daegon being one of them, leader of the Red Dragon, his connection to Shinnok and now basically the arch enemy of Kenshi and Takeda. It'd be very anticlimatic if they killed him off-screen like Sektor.

Judging by the way the story is progressing...we probably won't see Daegon or Taven anytime before MKXII
 
Honestly, a larger chunk of X's LM endings are more linked to the Story Mode than 9's, along with the endings that introduce new details or have outs to bring back characters. Oh sure, you have endings like Shinnok's and Erron Black's, but Liu Kang's, Kotal Kahn's, etc., endings mostly come off as ''what did this character do after the Jinsei powered Shinnok was beaten''. Mileena, Quan Chi, Ermac, and Johnny Cage's endings all have outs to bring back characters. Kitana and Kano's endings are character studies that introduce new details.

I was thinking the same thing. The only obviously entirely non-canon endings are D'Vorah's, Shinnok's, and Quan Chi's. Mileena's and Erron Black's could turn out to be semi-canon.

Takeda and Kenshi are part 1 and 2 of hunting the Red Dragon
Kung Jin and Kung Lao are part 1 and 2 of redeeming Kung Lao without resurrecting him
Raiden and Kotal Kahn are similar (Raiden goes to war and Kotal Kahn is in dire straits)
Jax and Sonya are similar (Jax dies)

Exactly what I was hoping for, legitimate speculation fodder for MK11.

Also interesting to note: in Johnny Cage's, we see him fighting (and presumably defeating) Shang Tsung and Goro during MK1. Very peculiar.
 
just watched the story mode on youtube.......wtf was that?? wow the story was so, soo...derived, contrived, forced hackneyed pointless! grrrr wth NRS!? were you all half asleep? that sucked ass. No closure, gods may as well be normal fighters, just, WHAT??? I'm sorry. Not trying to spoil anything but damn. super, super disappointed. not buying this. Hope you all enjoy it more than i did. I just, wtf!? All this build up for nothing story wise. It feels like they're just building up for MKvDC2 what a bummer. I need a drink,

And how do you feel about the identity of this Sub-Zero? I believe you were confident that it was a new Subbie, despite mounting evidence to the contrary.

Does anyone know where to perform the faction kills? Can't pull them off. Is it possible to perform them or brutalities in practice mode?
