having someone go Tails as P2 made the bosses much easier. Cause Tails would always come back and you rarley had to worry about dieing as sonic
 
i love sonic i just wish hadn't ruined the series these last few years with the crapfest that most of the sonic games are. colors showed some hope though and generations looks badass. also my fav char is without a doubt Tails, that dude is f-ing boss.

I sometimes forgot to pay attention to the time so I kept playing the slots, lol.
 
I am currently in an almost as big a craze about Sonic Generations & Sonic CD as I was about MK9 before it got released, I hope it turns out to be as good as MK was. During the wait i've completed Sonic 1-4 on my iPhone and i'm currently playing Sonic & Knuckles. Also i'm replaying Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure on my PC and Sonic Rush and Sonic Colours on my 3DS :)

During my Sonic Binge I compiled my Top Ten Themes of the Sonic Main Series (http://www.youtube.com/user/lenin17301560?feature=mhsn) (Sonic 1-4, counting Sonic & Knuckles and CD) here it is, i would love to hear other's people Top Ten Themes.

  1. Ice Cap Zone Act 1
  2. Lava Reef Zone Act 1
  3. Green Hill Zone
  4. Sky Sanctuary Zone
  5. Splash Hill Zone Act 3
  6. Stardust Speedway Good Future - Japanese Soundtrack
  7. Star Light Zone
  8. Metropolis Zone
  9. Palmtree Panic Present - US Soundtrack
  10. Angel Island Zone Act 1

I haven't listened enough of the Dreamcast and Modern Eras Soundtracks to really feel i have a Top Ten. As for my favorite Sonic Games here is my List:

I actually haven't played Sonic CD, i've listened to its soundtrack, but not played it, that is why it's missing from my list, and the list only gets to be of nine games instead of ten. :)

One of the saddest things in gaming is how Sega stopped putting effort into Sonic games when they didn't have a console to show off anymore. It's no coincidence that most people here like Sonic 2 and Sonic Adventure best since they were meant to show off what their systems were capable of.

I don't think it was even just the Sonic games; the quality of Sega games in general dropped immensely after they started working on other consoles. They pissed and shit awesome games from the Genesis era right on through to the DC, but once they became a third-party developer, they started dismantling all of their great software teams in order to focus on cheaper cash-in titles. The whole Sega situation in general is one of the saddest things in gaming to me.

Tidal Tempest Bad Future (US)
Botanic Base (Knuckles' Chaotix)
Rusty Ruin (3D Blast - Saturn)
Casino Night (2 player)
Spring Yard

Aside from Ice Cap, I guess it's mostly kinda oddball stuff that no one ever mentions.
 
Ice Cap was pretty badass music. There are others I like, but I haven't played Sonic in a while so I'm not coming up with them

My favourite game, though, will forever be Sonic 2. So many memories....I remember finally getting to Sky Chase Zone and my mom let my brother and I stay home from school so we could finish the game, lol, it was awesome.

I like 3D Blast and Spinball (key word being "like"), but I am a staunch defender of most Sonic games. I can pick them every once in a while, but I don't think either one is fun enough to play on a regular basis. I think the main problem with each is just the fact that the classic Sonic physics aren't there at all. In Spinball's case, it's not that big of a deal, 'cause it's a friggin' pinball game, but it really sucks in 3D Blast; you can't even go that fast.

God, I can't ****ing wait for Tuesday. I just hope Amazon doesn't screw me in some way.
 
I can generally get to The Machine or the level after it, but I've only beaten the game once or twice. It is a merciless *****.
