Lol dude I've beat it 5 times by myself. One with each character. You really just have to play wise, using block a lot when needed. The only really big problem is the final level because it's so long but there's a boss that gives you a 1-up every time you defeat him so I went back to that level, beat it as many times as I desired for some extra lives, and then I beat the final level.

You should download the trail. See how you like it.

If you really like Castle Crashers you should check out the game for Scott Pilgrim The Game

I like it more than Castle Crashers except for the lack of online. The soundtrack kicks total ass though.
