Pet kitten died tonight

Had a 14 week old kitten.

About an hour ago I heard a huge thud upstairs. I go upstairs and the wooden step-ladder is on the floor. I pick it up and there is my little kitten, blood everywhere having a seizure. Blood was everywhere, it was ****ing awful to see.

I think she died about a minute later but I was convinced I could feel a pulse. I rushed to the vets, and you wouldn't believe it, the emergency contact number (a mobile) was switched off. Not that it made a difference because she was long dead.

Im in pieces. She was running around an hour ago and now she's dead.
 
I got a kitten the other day for the first time but my mom returned her yesterday.

I was already getting so attached to her so to see my mom put her in the pet carrier and walk out as she was mewing out to me, my heart snapped in two.

I know how you feel man :cry:
 
I'm so sorry. My cat was hit by a car and he lost all feeling in his little legs. I'll miss him forever, but it's okay. I have his babies to look after for.

If there is anyone who can feel your pain, it's me. Trust me. It'll be okay. Just remember the cuteness and keep in mind, your little kitten is up there in heaven grazing on an infinite field of flowers, mice, and happiness.
 
Oh man that's got me depress.

I had a cat. Mom put her to sleep when i was away from home. Never gonna forget about that ever.
 
That sucks.

What do you think happened, the ladder was off balance and fell on the cat killing it, or the cat was seizing and the commotion of that happening caused the ladder to fall?
 
Thanks for the kind words guys. I was really upset earlier, now im numb...now im angry, but its like I have nothing to be angry at.

Cyndrix, I think she was climbing it, and somehow pulled it over. There was blood coming out of her ears and mouth so I think she fell off and it landed straight on her. I don't know how she even could have pulled it over, but that doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure she had massive head trauma and she didn't really feel anything. It was all over in less than a minute.
 
I never had a kitten or anything that size but I've had 2 gerbils and 2 hamsters who died by chewing on the cage (it was in plastic) and that the plastic probably pierced their stomachs or intestines... was very upset.. and I had a beta fish who died of the cold since Canadian weather is no place for a tropical fish...
 
Oh my God, Flagg. That broke my heart. I have two adult cats and six kittens so I feel soooooo bad to hear that. :(
 
That sucks man. Even though I don't really like cats, I did like 1 evil cat in my lifetime. So I feel ya man.


mainly because I'm super allergic to them.
 
Wow. I'm really sorry to hear that. That's awful you had to find the little guy that way. It's never easy to lose a pet.
 
very sad story

had a scare with my dog earlier this year. Her eardrum had bursted, and messed up her equilibrium. She was already blind so she had no idea what was going on and she felt like she was falling. She couldnt even walk. I was scared and thought she was having a seizure and was going to die. Thankfully she was ok once she was taken to the vet and learned that she was going to live. But she would be forever deaf in that ear.

I'm sorry to hear this, I dreaded the feeling of my dog dying, and I'm sorry you had to actually experience this
 
Thankyou again everyone. Got sod all sleep last night and don't feel in a particularly good mood around people.

But thanks again. I'm back from work after lunch and then I'll bury her.

I realised how much the vet's emergency were really considered emergency with my dog <_<''

I don't really like kitten but I certainly don't wish this to happen to any of them.

I know how you feel.
My little dog was my buddy for 14 years, and it really sucked when I lost him a year ago.
 
So sorry flagg. Was he the only kittens or was he part of a litter?

3 weeks ago I gota 4 month old puppy and I love him to death. Don't know what I'd do without the fellas. He's awesome and I'm already attached hard =[
