Official Anime Discussion

Ah I see.
Well yeah I read the manga and it is 1000x better than the anime.

No shadows to cover up the important plot points

I got to the episode on Sword Art Online

when...

Spoiler:
they had a kid and stuff mid anime. It just felt weird. I could not continue forward. I found it pretty mediocre just in my opinion.

Spoiler:
Yui is a HUGE, SMOKING Chekov's Gun (or, alternatively, Chekov's Gunman, since it's HER) for the 2nd season (13-25). The 2nd season is especially messed up.

Each time I hear Tomatsu Haruka in a voice role, my respect for her acting prowess increases. Not only was she adorable and emotive in Ano Natsu de Matteru/Waiting in the Summer, as well as powerful (yet sweet) in SAO, but now I've heard her in the first five episodes of Coppelion as a tough, Kansai-slang wielding paramilitary officer. I'm slowly becoming enamored of her voice and talents.

Good on ya.

Yo Sword Art Online is, slightly disappointing. The writing and pacing is just ugh. Still watching it though

Damn I had high hopes for sword art

The only other anime for me to watch is berserk but it's not clicking with me but boy is the protagonist so royally screwed over throughout the series

I don't know why, but for the past month or so, I keep on stumbling on Attack on Titan-related stuff without even looking for it. Just today at work, I saw a girl wearing a jacket with one of the emblems. I only watched a couple of episodes myself, and haven't been in the mood to put my full attention on the series just yet.

I have been reading a little bit of manga though. Looking forward to Teppuu, which has finally returned from its nearly two-year hiatus. I have been keeping up with Girls of the Wild's every week, although the series has been meandering too much as of late. I'm trying to get back to reading my current copies of Hellsing and Akira before getting the remaining volumes.

Lol like my avi and sig right?

Girls of the Wild's needs to stop messing around and return to the action.
What is Teppuu?

It's one of them, although I found stranger stuff like a K-1 fighter who cosplayed as a Titan while entering the ring.

Basically, it's a about a athletically-gifted high school girl who discovers MMA and for the first time found something that would challenge her. Plot-wise it doesn't seem too far off from Hajime No Ippo, although the protagonist's personality is a far cry from the timid Ippo.

Been watching Hajime no Ippo rising. I love the series so much... Whilst I have read up to about chapter 800 in the manga, Ippo is one of those shows that are just satisfying to watch, much like Initial D.

I've also been watching Gintama. Gintoki is a pimp and I just finished rewatching the Rurouni Kenshin OVA (Tsuiokuhen or Trust and betrayal). Kenshin was a badass in his manslayer days.

MMA?
Will definitely give it a read

The series only just starting to pick up, but let me know what you think you when get around to reading it.

If you happen to like MMA, All Rounder Meguru may also be up your alley. BTW, the authors of Attack On Titan and All Rounder Meguru did an art trade. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-ne...on-titan-author-mentions-plans-for-mangas-end

I want to get back to watching Hajime No Ippo. Reading the manga (which seems to never end) is too daunting for me at this point though. LOL

T&B is one of the best things ever animated, in my opinion. The art and story are amazing, same with the pacing. My brother used to be wicked obsessed with that OVA. I have the DVDs somewhere too. On that note: WATCH THE LIVE ACTION FILM. It's great!

I most def say this a week ago and I must say that the first half of the vid was eh. But the second half is were it really shines IMO

Although I watched Soul Eater early this year, I dropped it near the end. It was only a few days ago did I finally got around to finishing the whole series. The finale was pretty predictable, I liked the first half the series more. The faces the characters make in Excalibur's presence is hilarious.

I have been interested in watching some feature films. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Children Who Chase Lost Voices look interesting. Has anybody seen seen either by any chance and are they worth watching? I am looking forward to, Wolf Children, with the Bluray/DVD going to be released very soon.
