So.... the first episode of blazblue came out.

Just gonna say, The Animation looks alright, The fighting is slightly above average.

The art is good IMO.

The only problem is the pacing. They crammed like 4 hours you spend on the game story in like 25 minutes. To be fair I was confused on Blazblue's plot for like 60% of the game.

But I feel like they aren't leaving any room for character relationship development or character development at all. Hopefully the next couple of episodes slow down and explain things for the new people.

I know what's happening but I find it hard to imagine a new-comer being really engaged with that first episode.

Hmm interesting.
Interesting considering that my friend bought me Blazblue to play and now all I need is an xbox lol

Currently watching Hyouka. It's based on a series of novels about the author's hometown in Gifu (with changed-around names). So far, it's really interesting. The main character is an introspective guy who doesn't care much about being involved with everyday life, figuring most of it is too much effort. His sister, who's abroad, sends him a letter asking him to join their high school's Classical Literature Club, as if no one joins for a second year in a row, it'll be closed after a 40+ year history. Basically from there it has him and his three other friends solving minor mysteries about the area and the people they know, and it's very keen on exploration of people's personalities and actions.

Also, the animation and pacing are amazing. You can tell it's closely adapted from a novel series.

Finally watching Sword Art Online. It's actually pretty good. I actually care about the characters, which is more than I could say for .hack/anything. I also heard that it crosses over (or is related somehow) with AccelWorld, which is interesting, and I can totally see as being possible given the dates.

I got to the episode on Sword Art Online

when...

Spoiler:
they had a kid and stuff mid anime. It just felt weird. I could not continue forward. I found it pretty mediocre just in my opinion.

Why oh why must I suffer through the japanese voice acting? I mean it's okay but when I start an anime in english I wanna finish it that way. Damn Hulu and Netflix.

Depends on the anime.

When it happened with Fullmetal Alchemist I was upset cause the English voice acting is awesome

Well my wife got me watching fairy tail. Good show, reminds me of one piece. Natsu is a funny but typical anime protagonist. And it only goes till the 49th episode and there are 171 of them it could be because it's a newer anime but damn it I wanna know what happens. I haven't been this mad since dead man wonderland was scrapped from toonami.

lol, That's because deadman wonderland stops at like episode 12 they didn't keep making it. The comic is still on-going.

I got to like 80 on Fairy Tail.

Couldn't keep going. it had good backstories for the main characters. It starts using that DBZ formula and I can't handle it lol
