I just finished watching this on Netlfix the other day. I have mixed feelings on it though. The story was decent, the animation was good and there was plenty of violence and gore but some of the scenes with Mayu and Nana were very hard to watch especially Mayu's flashback scene and Nana's fight with #35. It's funny but this is the first anime where I felt really bad for the characters.

I used to be into anime a long time ago...around the mid 90's I'd say. I haven't really watched much of it since then, but I used to really like:

- Ninja Scroll
- The Guyver series
- Akira
- Vampire Hunter D
- Fist of the North Star
- Golgo 13
- etc.

Basically anything adult and violent. I just could never get into the overly cartoony cutesy anime stuff. I have seen Elfen Lied though and I thought that was pretty awesome.

Dragon Ball (Original,Z and GT)
Naruto Shipuden
Death Note
Beyblade
Pokemon (series 1-5)
Yu-Gi-Ho

Those are the only series that were broadcasted in ths Israeli "kids" channel (exept Death Note) so theses are the only series i was watching as a kid. But I Sometimes watch the Pokemon and the Dragon Ball Z series again today.

Ok so I was never an anime buff, but I was totally obsessed with one show as a kid, which I think qualifies as anime, so correct me if I'm wrong on that...

One Piece huge quality is a fact right now... It's not about what I think. lol
If One Piece wasn't mentioned it's simply because people here never seen a good part of it therefore have no idea how above everything else it is, mostly as I said because people judge it by the art without having any idea of how good it is. Exactly as you are doing right now. Simple.

I really felt bad for Nana especially when *SPOILER ALERT*







you think the director guy euthanized her. I was actually quite relived to see her pop up later on. Also when young Lucy killed the boys who killed her puppy, that was the first time I ever felt some sort of satisfactory seeing children get killed (even though they were just cartoons lol). I did feel bad for the girl she killed though.

No I haven't yet. I was talking to a friend though and he said the ending in the manga makes more sense and that they go into more detail about the origin of the Diclones or whatever they're called.

You can add Highschool of the Dead to my list. Also Sekirei is another cool anime especially if you like big bouncy boobs, violence and a bit of comedy.

I don't watch a whole lot of anime or television in general. However, there are few series that I like indude:

1) Lupin III
2) Slayers
3) Tenchi Muyo (the earlier stuff anyways)
4) Hajime No Ippo


This one of experimental works by Tezuka Osamu (known for Astroboy and many other works)


Misc. animated shorts

never really watched elfen lied, but I thought this was a pretty cool edit(how I loved this movie as a kid)
