Seriously though, the trailer looked great, I can't wait to see Kenshi's and Liu Kang's tale.
 
ermac looks kind of lame sauce as does sub zero with his dirt bike and paintball gear on.

I'm glad they replaced the actors for Raiden and Shang for season 1.

Scorps looks great still but subs needs a different mask.

Kung Lao seems to be a real Shaolin monk, they made Liu Kang interesting once again, Scorpion is the killer!!! I also like Sub-Zero, I don't know what your problem is about Sub-Zero, he looks like a real assassin
 
So Ermac's... a ****ing zombie or something? What the shit is that? I don't like that look at all. He better be masked at some point, or at least not have his arms outstretched like a ****ing zombie all the time.

Sub-Zero, I don't even... he's had like fifty different looks over the years, all generally accepted by and recognizable to the fanbase, couldn't they have just picked one at random to loosely adhere to? This is inarguably one of the most prized and iconic MK characters we're talking about, he needs to look like god damn Sub-Zero. The look they gave him last season was entirely acceptable if not damn near perfect, so why pull a 180? This looks like Stryker's alternate from MKA.

Scorpion looks pretty awesome; I'm not crazy about the mask, but I accept and support it. Apparently he's going to be saying "get over here" a lot; this I also support.

Kitana looks great fapfapfap, even with the toned down costume. I definitely look forward to that episode.

Mileena looks good for the most part, but I think they could handle her a bit better. Obviously there's just no way to do her full-on tarkatan mouth without it looking cheesy as hell on film, but having her appear as something approaching "normal" also strips away the bulk of her viscosity and even her identity. Personally, I think the best way to represent her in something like this would be to give her the veil and put the focus on her crazy, yellowed, animalistic eyes.

The rest of the characters look fine to me, although I'd rather see Raiden in the freaking hat.

I'm pretty excited for this. I think it will turn out well. Maybe.
 
Ermac is a Frankenstein thing though.
He is a multitude of souls inside one body.
The look they gave him just makes him look more like the monster he is.
I like it.
 
Idk why people are complaining about Ermac. Like what was said above, he technically is a monster and this is the first time we've seen him without a mask. Maybe he'll get one later or wrap his head like in the game but we've literally seen him for 2 seconds in this so gotta cut him a break. Subzero's costume is unforgivable though. Literally looks like he's ready for a game of paintball. The suit in the last one was fine except for the cheap, oversized mask. They shouldve just changed that.
 
Personally, watching season one makes me feel that they change the actors too drastically. But I'll have to deal. I do hope they change the look of Quan Chi though. I didn't like his original look or sound at all. But him and Kung Lao's actors are ruined for me because I really like the ones from Mortal Kombat Conquest.
 
I think it looks pretty cool. Not perfect, but enjoyable at least. Was kinda hoping they'd just skip Season 2 and jump right into the movie. I mean, they're introducing all of these characters through a web series... What's gonna happen when the movie comes out and not everyone knows what's going on because they haven't seen (nor heard of) the show?

Anyway, my thoughts on the characters:

ERMAC
Eeek. I don't know about this one. I've pictured Ermac looking like a whole lot of different things under his mask, but this isn't one of them. Not a huge fan. I really hope he spends most of his screen time with a mask on. Then again, he probably wont get a whole lot of screen time anyway.

When you think about it, though... It kinda makes sense. Ermac isn't exactly human or anything. He's a collection of souls. And the games never really explained how his body came to be or how it would look. *shrug*

JOHNNY CAGE
Yes. YES! I support this so hard. I mean, I really liked the JC from season one, but this works as well. Both guys are really hot and are bad ass enough for JC.

KENSHI
Kenshi looks pretty damn cool. So long as the blind fold stays on (the actor's face is busted), I wont have any problems with him. Really excited to see how they include him.

KITANA
She looks fantastic. Way better than Season one. I'm glad her outfit isn't super slutty or trashy. And I totes got goosebumps when I saw her fans. I also love that she's got her hair up MK3 style.

KUNG LAO
Erm... What's with the hat? Seriously... Fix the hat and I'll be good. Never cared a whole lot for Kung Lao to begin with, but at least this actor doesn't piss me right off like the KL character in MK9 did.

LIU KANG
YES! Finally a Liu Kang I can appreciate. He's not some fugly little d-bag, he's working for the bad guys, his voice doesn't make me want to throw myself in front of a speeding bus, OH AND HE'S A FREAKIN BAD GUY! Finally, a cool as shit Liu Kang. Really looking forward to his chapter/role this season.

Did I mention he's a freakin' bad guy?

MILEENA
Sigh... Oh Mileena. You're always a touchy subject with me. In MK9 you were a god damn whore for no good reason. In MK Legacy you've got these Joker scars when really you should be wearing a mask/veil to make up for the lack of money to create something COOL and faithful looking to your video game self.

But despite my disappointment with her mouth region... I actually quite like Mileena's design. Her costume is exactly what I want for her; Sexy but not trashy.

RAIDEN
There's not a whole lot for me to say about him. I liked his role in season one. And the actor playing him this season is quite the looker. But other than that, what is there to say? Where's your hat, bro?

SCORPION
At first I HATED his look. But I've recently come to love it. The mask is definitely not what I would have gone with, but I guess it's kinda cool. And the clothing works well enough for me. I dig it. He's probably wearing one of my favorite costumes in this.

SHANG TSUNG
He's BACK baby! I loved this guy in the first MK film. When I think of Shang Tsung I think of him. He's so much better than that reject from season one. SOLD.

STRYKER
Again, not a whole lot to say about him. He was hardly present in the trailer. I guess he's okay looking? I mean, I miss the actor from season one. But whatever. Kinda meh about this at the moment.

SUB ZERO
No. Just no. Lose the paint ball gear, Subby. I mean, seriously?


Anyway, I'm a little bummed about the lack of Sonya and no mention of the cyborgs. Though I can understand them not being there (the cyborgs). Apparently most of Season one's budget went into their episode. *shrug*

Also, where the hell is Reptile? Shit, I'd even like to see Rain. I mean, he was finally made cool with MK9. Lets whore him out a little.
 
i'm wondering why darb designs wasn't contacted to do the masks? i edited sub and scorp and gave them their real masks.

I kind of like it but I'm just use to the good goody two shoes Liu Kang. There's no point in wishing he isn't going to die. I know for fact Liu Kang is going to be killed. So I guess what I wish from this web series from Liu
 
Kang is the champion. My guess is that he starts evil and later joins earth. I like the evil side though. The goody goody thing always pissed me off. He was like a powerful boy scout.

He's not a monster or a Frankenstein thing, though, he's just an amalgam of souls inside a body. Technically, so is Shang Tsung, albeit via a different scenario.

Obviously we have no reference for how his entire face should look, but the part of his face you see in-game doesn't hint at that dumbass zombie thing at all (okay, so you could basically make the same argument with Scorpion since his human-esque masked face makes no hint toward his actual skull face). They took creative liberties with him, which is fine, but when he doesn't even vaguely resemble the source material, that bothers me.

The games gave him at least a partially human face and slick, well-designed ninja garbs. Here, we get the zombified corpse of Michael Jackson anytime after 1996 in tattered rags. Oh, but there's just a splash of red so you know it's Ermac. Cool?
 
Sub-Zero's entire outfit is a joke, Scorpion's mask blows, there is no Jade, and Raiden needs to start looking like Raiden more.

I will still watch it and mark out, though <3
 
It is not the game though, it is their own spin on it.
Keep comparing it to the game because that is not what you should be doing.
 
I'm usually a stick in the mud with plots matching the source.


But I'm actually 100% fine with the entire trailer.

I'm a Ermac fan, and Ermac doesn't bother me, as long as he dons some red/ninja look later.

Subzero doesn't bother me either, and if you really hate subzero's look.

well luckily we know Bi-han dies to Scorpion eventually so maybe you can look forward to Kuai Lang's look.



Liu Kang seemingly siding with the bad guys, I'm not sure if he's gonna be pure evil off the bat. Something obviously happened to him because of the way Kung Lao reacted to him.


Kung Lao's hat still has the blade, although I probably would've preferred it black, it's not a deal breaker.

Ermac is dominantly Black in his clothes usually, with only a bit of red here and there.
 
Cant really expect much from a webseries. Looks a bit meh to myself, but I will watch it due to to the fact im a souless husk of a fanboy.
 
I ain't gonna watch a rebooted movie that has a guy from a supermarket! ITS A DISGRACE!

Sorry.

But anyway.. I wonder which of the actors in legacy 2 deserve to be in the rebooted movie.
