Jade's Metal Thread

Re: XxJadexX's Metal Thread

Friend of mine introduced me to Ministry a couple of months ago. Gave me Thieves and Jesus Built My Hotrod (lol), so I had to look them up. I didn't know they've been around for almost 30 years! I thought they came around in the last decade. Either way they sound pretty awesome and gotta know, what albums would be the best to pick up?

haha they have been around a long time!!

I would definitely grab up Mind is a terrible thing to taste, Psalm 69, Land of Rape & Honey to start, then EVERYTHING else. their live albums are bad ass too!

Psalm 69 is one of my top 10 albums. It's amazing. I was happy to see them on their last tour. I would have loved to meet them but sadly I couldn't :(.

I actually quite enjoyed Dark Side of the Spoon!

Psalm 69, start there. Then Land of Rape and Honey, then Mind is a terrible thing to taste, then Filth pig.... Then actually go check out the Revolting ****s while you're at it.

Watch this video for the great video of Troll 2 lol!

Iron Maiden. Nuff said. Well apart from the fact I'm seeing them in August for my 11th time. :D

I never liked Rock music when I was younger. The game that sparked my (mild) interest in it was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.

How about we not talk about rock music in a metal thread? Nothing in here had anything to do with rock music whatsoever.

Metal is a bit 'harsher' than rock and there are other differences, like, speed, heaviness, etc. It's kind of hard to give one big generalized answer because there are so many sub-genres of each. Also, the rhythms are different, time signatures, subjects, etc.
