Lol @ this UpYours fellow. NRS knows that people are pulling dick moves by not downloading the compatibility pack, so they are making it mandatory so that every time someone wants to use Freddy, they can. It isn't "crass commercialism". LMFAO.

What if it wasnt "Freddy Krueger" but some weird looking person with wolverine looking claws and a stupid hat on? Would it be any different?
 
Yeah, you aught to have to download the compatability packs. I'm surprised they didn't do that from the start. I'd like to see a little more diversity online, and I might actually like to use some of the characters I baught :p.

I don't even play online, but ive DLed every comp pack so far mostly for the costumes but even if i play online later on i don't care what characters i play against. People are just childish and selfish and think they are proving some kind of point.

i hope they do it soon i never practice much with the dlc characters like rain because i dont want to waste time on a character i might not even be able to play as online
