Comp. packs mandatory now?

Seriously? You people can call yourselves MK enthusiasts while clearly shutting down something the creators of MK have given you? You may hate the idea of Freddy being in the game, but that doesn't mean they put any less effort in putting him into the game. If you are MK enthusiasts you would fully support the decisions of NRS.
Simply boycotting the game or even the comp. packs because of this DLC is absolutely ridiculous. Either beat the shit out of Freddy or quit ****in' playing MK, and certainly quit calling yourselves enthusiasts. Freddy is a hell of a lot better than half of the characters that existed in MK:A, so just enjoy it or go get a new ****in' game.

I don't think anyone should leave this forum over differing opinions. What does that solve?
People are obviously misunderstanding my posts.
What is a purist? If any new characters are introduced (after mk1) it isn't pure.
[baraka,jax,kung lao,mileena,retile,shang tsung playable, cyrax, kabal,night wolf, sektor, sheeva, sindel,stryker, ermac,smoke playable]
were all released after MK1 so they aren't pure. Not going into MK4-MK9 roster.
Is the "purist" argument for MK1-MK3?
If the purist argument is AGAINST guest characters then I agree [kratos, Freddy]. In that respect I'm a purist.
In the end we can't change who NRS puts in the game so stop all the BS!

Well, I always thought MK purist meant only wanting MK characters. That' what I learned from a old memeber. But if it's not, I am still a big MK fan
DMK purists have nearly dropped off the radar by now. What would be left are enthusiasts with a preference of the original titles. Very few people truly hated the games post MK:T or UMK3, but a lot of people felt they only got weaker. Still many new characters were introduced in the games that followed MK3, and were received well. Now we have characters joining the ranks, but characters who already have an established story elsewhere (Kratos, Freddy.) Does that necessarily mean that they are bad characters within the MK ranks? I think not, but it does mean that they have to be much more developed to compete with the competition that is already in place.

I'm just trying to make the point that until all our beloved characters were introduced, they weren't MK. I don't know what happened with b,b,b,lp but I'm still a purist. At the same time I won't deprive other users from enjoying thier game experience. Do what DCP said and kick the holy hell out of FG.

Where did you hear that HUGE load of bs? Freddy does have a lot of specials, but he hits like a kitten. And no, the DLC are pretty much even. Skarlet, when used properly, is the biggest *****, ever. She's so good. Kenshi, has EASILY the highest damage output of all DLC with minimal effort. Rain has great tools to start juggles and keep them going, as well as pretty good damage once you get up in those harder hitting combos.

My point is that it shouldn't be just me having fun. I don't ***** at people for spamming (I don't like it, but it is what it is), using glitches, ect..., because at the end of the day, it's about having fun. And if it means putting up with a bad match or a character I don't like fighting, I do it because I have the decency not to act like a 12 year old and rage quit, because he's doing something I don't like.
*NOTE* I'm not call you a 12 year old, I'm just using that phrase for what I see happen on online gaming all the ****ing time. Which, incidentally, is why I damn near hate online play. It's only saving grace is that I don't have to drag my ass out in the heat here to play with a friend. Oh yeah, being lazy is awesome lol
