Bored With MK 2011....??

@jade: I think there is hardcore fan, then there Is hardcore gamer. The hardcore fan is me with resident evil I will play anything they make even if it's garbage. But I'm not a hardcore resident evil gamer. I didn't play RE5 pvp much at all. I didn't do speed runs. I played outbreak like the way it was envisioned, where as everyone else seems to not care about you and beat the level asap.

However I'm a hardcore gamer with ssbm. I don't even like poke'mon and Mario games are too easy. Ect. However this game itself I have spent Probably 3,000 dollars plus on this game flying to tournaments/ driving to them ect. I have even donated 200 bucks to the pot to grow the Florida ssbm scene. When I had no one my skill level living near me anymore I drove 8hours (roundtrip) just to play friendlies with a good player.

So yes I agree it's subjective. You could consider yourself a ssbm hardcore gamer but compared to me likely not.

I'm still trying the best I can to collect the money needed for a ps3 JUST for this mk. I don't need to explain further how boring the game is right? :P now, I guess it depends on the person really. personally, I like FPS games if the sounds of the guns are realistic enough to get you all excited and put you in the heat of the combat but overall, I will rarely enjoy an FPS game from the start to finish.. I'll usually be excited till one point and then just finish it for the sake of finishing it and curiosity for the ending story-wise. so I guess if you are not into fighters that much, you could get bored with it.. objectively though, the new mk has tons of things to do and it looks like the team is willing to support this game a lot with DLC. 5 bucks for a new character plus two skins ffs, that's a steal. as for the 'hardcore' parts, there is no need and it's actually kinda stupid to label ourselves when it comes to a game. I comment on that because many people tend to uh.. think they are hardcore and kinda think the ones they judge are not hardcore like themselves are 'wussies' or 'not competitive' people even in their real lives and so on. I know some people both irl and here or elsewhere that label themselves and think they're so good and stuff but uhh.. the truth is most of them come out as huge jerks when they talk to someone like the OP who will claim the game got boring after a while. so yeah, no need for labels :P

Only reasons I am bored with it is because I am Character Hoping, and because I am waiting for Online to get better and my brother to get it. That will cause me to start playing it like a mad man again.

Someone asked a question and I figured I put in my two cents. If you consider yourself hardcore you probably are, in you mind. In the mind of another you might not be though.

My friend who fought in Afghanistan will always look at anybody crying about little things like weather heat ect as weak. But if your from canada and all you know is snow you will not be use to heat so Florida might be too much for you. Let alone desert areas on the other side of the planet.

it's all subjective for sure, it's just that those who consider themselves hardcore are usually coming out as huge jerks when they talk to 'casual gamers'. also, there are two kinds of them, a) those who objectively ARE good at the XYZ game and b) those who think they do and are just all 'hey look dood i'm so cool yo' but they suck really. I just dislike hearing comments from such people because they are usually trying to make the others look inferior and it's quite irritating

I am so addicted to this game its ridiculous. I honestly can't recall spending as much time on a game so close to release since maybe mw2 or gears of war

Why do people assume that if you live in Canada all you know is snow?

I know it's not only snow... I was just making a simple example that someone not use to 95 degree weather that's complaining about it will look like a ***** to someone who spent 4 years in 115 degree weather.

But you gotta admit canada people know more snow than most other people.( depending where you are) Alaska would have made a better example.

Way to miss the point.

I've played this game almost every day since it's release and am still not bored with it. The last game I played this much non stop was Bioshock 2.

I doubt I will ever get bored of it. I mean, I can still take out MKDA and play it for hours. I suppose most fighting games are easy to tire of, though.

lmao, wow, your perception of Canada is WAY off.....

The temperature here in the summer is EXACTLY how it is in Florida. I am from Buffalo, NY, and live in Canada. We got more snow in Buffalo than where I am.....and before you say 'way to miss the point', there really was no point, because we go pretty much the entire summer with 'Florida temperatures' so, yeah, it is nothing out of the ordinary and we would easily be able to live with it. It wouldn't be a 'shock' to anyone. Now, go have someone from Florida come up and spend a winter here. THAT makes more sense.....they don't really experience 'winter' but we experience insanely hot summers....

Anyways.....I still think 'hardcore' is subjective and some people like to say it just to sound 'cool'.

Good god, Canadians don't live in friggin igloos.....

BORED BORED???? Haha not even close, Im still training with the characters to get better, I play online at least every other day. I love this game, I havent played a game this much in years and I still get excited just thinking about playing it.

Hell nah, I'm making money, having a blast, meeting new people at casuals/tournaments, all while repping my main man Johnny Cage. I love this game.

we get snow birds from Canada all the time. Those guys can walk around here in our winter. 40degrees and walk around in shorts.... I'd say you guys get a fair share of snow.

but... like I said with the miss the point post. I admitted I don't know much about canada, so I said perhaps alaska would make a better analogy.

but once again... if alot of people think Canada=snowy like me... then should still get the point :D.

Do you guys get like 80% humidity... Because i promise you that makes it way worse than it just being 95% dry heat. i've been to California and they were just as hot. But it felt nice because it wasn't disgusting humidity heat.

Is your summers usually humidity infested?
