Batman: Arkham City

Yeah. It was very unusual. Now I gotta do this side mission with the Identity Theft situation, but I can't find the next trail for it. Plus I'm half-way done with Batman's Ranked Challenges. Just gotta do the Predator challenges, before tackling on the Campaign challenges.

It sucks that Selina doesn't have any disarm and destroy special, like Bruce does. It would be a big plus for her to have to make up for her lack of variety of special combos.

i finished the game and its like not even 50% done. so i know theres more to do, but i do wish the game was a little longer because it was so good. i even had catwomans add on and the game still seemed a bit short if you ask me. well i guess ill go find more riddler trophies. and someone please tell me where the hell is the first riddle???

also there this stupid part i keep dying at in the sewers. theres 3 riddler trophies and you gotta run and slide under a almost closed door and riddle says ¨this is not going to be easy dark knight¨ as soon as i throw a battarang at the swich the door closes and the room fills with sas and i die.

@ Vigilante

The identity theft mission is hard to do because most of the victims are found down small and easily missed alleyways. Here's a video showing where the victims are in order by number (1, 2, 3, etc.):

Some of the Riddler challenges are rather difficult. I would suggest interrogating Riddler informants througout the city in order to help you find the harder ones; informants are highlighted in Green both in and out of detective mode and are impossible to miss. I haven't done the one in the sewers yet, but I remember it being impossible without all the gadget upgrades.

The game was good in length for me; sure, it could've been longer, but it was great. I'm pleased with it, but it really would've been better to have the DLC costumes as unlocks in the retail game. TAS skin is great, and really adds to the game as a whole, so the others would have been nice to have from the start.

I can't wait for the Robin and Nightwing packs; Catwoman was well done, and could have been more fleshed out but I digress, so I'm excited to see how the other characters were done.

I wonder if Nightwing will have missions? I hear many thugs mentioning Bludhaven, so it could be cool to explore that in missions. Or perhaps it's designed to be more of a hint to Nightwing overall instead.

Also, I can't wait to delve into NG+, but I'm trying to get most if not all the Riddler challenges/trophies first.

Ya, you going to need the ice grenade thing for that one. There's another one where you need to use another gadget to survive.

cool thanks. ill try using that. (lol i accidently spelled gas "s"as lol) and omg i didnt put an r at the end of riddler.

No problem. I didn't want to reveal how to solve the other "impossible" riddle just incase you wanted to figure it out for yourself. If you need help though feel free to ask.

That's the one with the electrified floor, right? How would the freeze grenade help with that, or am I missing something? O_o

Stuck on Adanced AR Training #1 and #4. Got Adv. AR #2 and #3. Done with Zasz today too (finally). I'm beginning to feel like I'm running out of things to do. Only major stuff I have left are the Riddler Hostages and Mr. Freeze's stolen tech (though...I can't seem to find that stuff). My attention has been more focused on the Challenge Maps and getting as many ranked medals as I can now. Just got Bronze Revenge and 50x combo last night. :)

Anyone know if there are possible plans for expansion missions as DLC to go with Nightwing and Robin (or maybe even Bats?). I know Catwoman gets an extra 4 I think (boo!). I'm pretty positive now that there will be a 3rd Rocksteady/NRS Batman game now though. If you finish the Watcher in the Wings mission, you'll know what I mean.

I almost wish I had a nice computer to play this game on. It seems that the graphics for PC with PhysX and DirectX 11 are better than the PS3. :|

Haven't posted in here in a minute. I'm 78% done. As far as the story goes, just wow!
Spoiler:
rocksteady did a great job of making you not read too much into the clues that there were 2 jokers. So the reveal that joker was still sick and basil karlo aka clayface was joker was satisfying and awesome. And the clayface bossfight was amazing! The dark knight + a sword = awesome. But strange working for ras al ghul I saw that coming from a mile away. And after Mark Hamill announced he was no longer doing the voice of the joker you can be sure he is dead and gone. Which is pretty sad. But that'll let rocksteady focus on the other rogues.
when the credits started rolling I actually felt compelled to applaud. Great game! Only got 2 side missions left and I'm about 100 trophies away from being finished with the riddler stuff. Can't wait for the next installment in this franchise!

Some of you need to go to youtube, lol. There are a lot of videos there showing how to solve a lot of the missions.

Ign has a shit load of vids for trophies and riddler challenges. But where's the fun in that. Half the satisfaction of riddler challenges and easter eggs are figuring them out. Here's a tip explore places you've been after you beat the game and play with your cryptographic sequencer the radio stations spit out station coordinates and you'll find secret messages on them. I won't spoil a really rad easter egg just go to jokers hideout and the sewers.

New Nightwing trailer was released! He releases November 1st(next Tuesday).

I can't wait to try him out, and I'm a little dissapointed that he doesn't have his first appearance costume:the one with the light blue and yellow. Although it's not my favorite, it certainly is worthy as a skin, and since Nightwing is the only character to have less than two costumes(excluding Batman) it makes perfect sense. Still, I'm sure he'll be a great character.

I look forward to both Robin and Nightwing, and I think Robin releases November 22nd, with the Batman skin pack releasing shortly after on December 2nd.

I really hope that Nightwing or Robin get some spin-off missions like Catwoman is getting; it's great they're in the game, but it would certainly be cool. Also, I hope Batman may get some DLC as well, maybe with Scarecrow? I don't know if they're saving him and some others for the next game, but he would be cool to fight against provided it isn't the same thing as AA Scarecrow levels.

I do recommend getting the skins pack; although I only have TAS skin, it is beatifully rendered and feels very authentic, especially with Kevin's voice behind it. I can only assume the others are rendered with as much care as TAS skin, and I've also seen the Batman Bayond skin which looks great and does feature the retractable red wings. No camo, but it's a skin, not another character. Also, the pack is only $4.99, so I think it's a decent price for skins, especially since they're awesome.

Day one pick up, I'm sure Ames will want to check this one out.

Nightwing's Escrima sticks are just awesomesauce, and pulling off Nightwing's trophies/achievements will be a breeze.

Thanks for the tip and nice gameplay vid of Nightwing. I can't believe he has escrima sticks with shocking properties embedded. I think I'm gonna do that Identity Theft side mission now.

And what do ya think about the soundtrack of Arkham City, everyone?

For me, it's intriguing and suspenseful.

I love batman mainly because I think many of the villains ares very interesting, I can't even pick an overall favorite because there is so many I like and so many different versions of each. In this game my point would deffinitly go to :

The awsomness, nah?
Always wanted an awesome Mr.Freeze.
*happy dance*

And of course, I loved the gameplay... But I'm more of a big villains' lover >_<

So figured id post a couple easter eggs I found while screwing around and one I found whenn looking through my youtube subscriptions today.

Scarecrow-
Spoiler:
unfortunately you don't see dr. Crane but you do see someone he experimented on. Go to the steel mill. Right before the steel mill there is the north gotham docks. You'll see a boat floating in the water. Glide out and land on it there's a small hatch. Pull out your cryptographic sequencer and mess around til you get the passcode "city of terror" the hatch opens.vnow you can go below the deck and check things out scan the thug and the invoice. Can't recall if there's a riddle tied to it or not. But that's it!

Baby Joker?-
Spoiler:
remember that huge hole in the steel mill that was made during your fight with the fake joker? Enter the steel mill there and return to the office. You'll see harley's costume from arkham asylum scan it to solve a riddle. Now look on the ground right near it to find a pregnancy test. Harley Quinn pregnant?

Killer Croc-
Spoiler:
enter the sewers from the steel mill yard. Ya know that huge hole in the ground the assasin goes down. Once down there head north on your map and then east. You'll see a lone switch that you can reach with your remote batarang. Hit it and Croc burst out of the wall. I found this while playing through new game plus. Not sure if there's anything special you have to do to get it. But I found it afgter the Ras Al Ghul boss fight. Which is a ***** on hard

This isn't really a spoiler since it only works after you beat the game. But if you play around with your sequencer and listen to the radio stations sometimes they'll say coordinates that are other stations. Once you decode them you'll find secret messages. Not sure how many there are though.

Storyteller secret-
Spoiler:
now I cannot give myself credit for this. I saw this on IGN's youtube channel and I hadn't found it so I knew it had to be hard to figure out and it is. If you go see calendar man in the lower part of the court house, you'll notice a sign with dates circled on it. Well if you change the date on your system(ps3 or 360) to these dates then talk to calendar man he will tell you different stories. The best story is his halloween. Story. So change it or you could just wait til Monday and give yourself a treat for halloween. Talking to him on these dates also unlocks the storyteller trophy/achievment.

I've played the shit outta this game and completed all the riddler rooms, traps and almost every trophy. So if anyone needs help figuring anything out just pm me.

that nightwing video was AMAZING. I barely know the character and now am so excited lol

some of these riddler trophies are a joke lol one I cannot get to work. to get it you have to divebomb to the button to activate it and it will not power up enough, its like those test your strength games at the carnival. so annoying. i just went right to the videos LOL I was like 400 of these? I am not gonna waste time trying to figure them all out. lol

Agreed, I am just saying it is no different than coming to TRMK and asking, lol, plus, you get a visual so you know exactly where to go. Coming to TRMK and having someone say 'now you have to go this way to this building' is not as easy as a video that shows where you are on the map and then shows exactly what to do.
