New characters completely original to the MK storyline and universe are good; having MK bring in guests from other games is a bad idea. That really ruins the franchise for me. I was sad when they partnered with DC for "that" game, and I'm disappointed they used Kratos for this just to get extra buys.

I agree... Ever since Kratos popped in so many people been coming up with these guest character wishlists lol.... I rather have NEW MK characters than guest characters which imo jus doesn't fit with MK even Kratos. Sure he's violent but he's not MK~

You know, I had two idea's for new characters. One of them was for an Edenian Pirate (Or another Shaolin Monk, not sure) type dude, who used Buzzsaw Yoyo's launched from Wrist Guards (much like Skorpions Spears) to deal quick, multihit damage within close/mid range (Think Ermac's range). His specials would be YoYo tricks like Around the World and such.


My point is; If some random dude can come in here and throw down a great (I think it is, but then again, it's my idea, so I'm a little biased :P ) Character Concept, I'm sure we have nothing to fear for new characters.

Wtf, no! What is he gonna go, drive his damned ice cream truck into people? As much as I love him, not for MK.

And as much as I dont wanna say this, a Gears character can fit into MK. Sure, they dont hand to hand combat in the game, but I am sure they know how to fight due to the finishers that you can do in the game. And besides, the guns make no difference, if you were to argue against that, then you are essentially saying Stryker wouldnt fit in the game either. Just my two cents on the matter, I hope it never happens though.

Oh please no Mexican characters. Hispanic character? Cool. But no Mexican ones. Mexicans already get the notion they are the only Hispanic country in existence.

Fair enough, I agree about the No Exclusives thing (actually playing the game has changed my stance on that), but I would like to say that RAAM would fit:


(What he does to the Bald guy is certainly bad ass enough to be a fatality)

Or Skorge (Even has the K for the C :P )




Again, No Guest character if we can help it, but I think they would fit. Skorge more than RAAM, but I like RAAM better :D

I don't see it happening, but I'd like this. If it does, it'd either have to be PS3 exclusive or available on both consoles, because NRS said Micro$oft wouldn't let them have a 360 exclusive character.

I am on the fence about this, I would love new characters but at the same time what about all the other characters already in the MK universe? there are like 30 other characters, granted a lot aren't that good but it just seems cheap(for lack of a better term) to just churn out new characters and then never bring them back. But as stated of the newer characters in the MK series, many weren't that great, so as I said I go back and forth. lol

He'd be a fun character to play as. I wouldn't be surprised to see them give him away for free right before Twisted Metal comes out to build up extra hype for the game in a deal with whatever company makes TM.

I had an idea for a "Tag Team" type character like Noob Smoke in MKD. Twin brother and sister named Yin and Yang. I picture them as both MMA fighters or Kick boxers or something like that.

New characters are fine, but NRS must do a better job fleshing out their stories to compare to the originals. I can barely name any of the characters after MK3(I have owned every MK at one time) because they were completely forgettable and didn't fit into the story line well. Many of the MK3 newcomers were in the same boat. NRS did a great job showing how they fit in the overall story this time around. So, unless they are going to give the same level of detail to any new characters, I am against it.

Seriously, no. No Freddy Krueger, no Ninja Turtles, no Dexter, no Hellboy, no Wolverine, no Pokemon, no Independence Day, no Bill Cosby...enough already.

MK does not need exclusives, period. This is getting ridiculous.
 
Oh. My. Where to begin... first off we have plenty of new characters. Cyber Sub Zero, Human Sektor and Cyrax, and a Stryker we can care about.

It's far too late to be even discussing this. It's a retelling of the original story, there's no need for new characters. What good could come from new characters?

What more do you want out of the perfect game? It's like every time I come in here there's a thread complaining about this game. It baffles me.

New characters are the last thing we need right now. I'm crossing my fingers now they don't even put any new characters in the next game. I don't technically consider Skarlett a new character either since she's based off of a sprite error from mk2.
