What is with people being excited about Babalities? I wasn't keen on Friendships either, but at least they're amusing if done well. Babalities, however, wore out their welcome for me after MK2. Nostalgia doesn't make them any more appealing.

PS:
I believe that any "IsOnDiscDLC" characters appearing again as "IsDLC" refers to alternate costumes. Mileena, Kitana and Jade actually appear twice as "IsOnDiscDLC", so their second appearance is again a reference to alternate costumes IMO, except ones that are already on the disc. I presume if you want alternates for Quan Chi and SZ, you will have to download them.

this list makes no sense what so ever, i can see it's the written codes for their actions or post script ect, but there's alot of characters missing

He did not. Though he did say they were taking a more serious approach, he has also just recently (as in this past weekend) stated that if they were to include other -alities - NRS would not announce them.

Was MK2 not dark and serious? It had babalities and friendships too you know...

These things are just random extras for fun, they don't take away from the experience. It's not like they are floating around in the background, or thrown in the middle of the gameplay. They are finishers, that you don't even have to do if you don't want.

I still don't think this list confirms anything other than each fighter having multiple alternates, some which are DLC.

This is a game with a person who gobbles like a chicken when they fight, females are dressed like hookers, people shoot ice and fire out of their hands, TOASTYYY, test your luck with headless combat armless combat rainbow combat etc, test your sight is like a mini carnival game, a character that's known for punching people in the genitals, a character thats known for puking and farting, a character that throws humiliating a humerus insults at you, etc.

Yeah, dark and serious.

MK has ALWAYS had at least a little bit of comedy in it. If you fail to realize that, you are not a true MK fan.

That babalities were going to be in the game in some fashion.
What he was refering to as silly is the sort of stuff where, say, Kabal over-inflates a guy's head until he explodes. Fairly realistic fatalities with silly side-*alities.
 
So that 'girl in red' was actually an alt costume/look for one of the existing characters? Or not a playable character at all?
 
Wow i figured they would be in. This will be one finisher I won't be doing unless i play some of the cry babies on here.

I'm thinking baby has no reference to babablities whatsoever and is just some asset reference to something completely different.
 
Aldo, I like MK to be dark and serious too. Im with you on that one. If this is the final character roster, then I will be pretty happy. Damn there are 4 members viewing and 3047 guests viewing this lol
 
i think mortal kombat has done so much in this game that they wouldnt make a crappy babyality, i think they'll make it much more gorier and deadlier XD XD
also i think theres animalality and friendships
 
I actually like the idea of Babalities. I mean imagine defeating your opponent in 2 rounds, double flawless and turning them into babies.

It's the perfect ending to a match, in that instance.

But any other time, Babalities would be useless. Unless you're playing your little brother. Haha.
 
Every -ality except babalities are good. Now I hope these babalities become fatalities by having the victor kill the baby victim right after. Now that would be more like it.

...though, I don't want to think about my nephew while seeing that. lol :-)

Yo that last part was so ****ed up! Yeah I kan take comedy in a game but not freaking friendships and babalties and I really don't mind that other shit either kause they are challenges. But those finishers, that is just too much right there. And about the gobble part, Liu Kang does that kause making that noise makes the hits much harder. I guess a lot of people don't understand that.

And when I say serious, I don't mean it like that(I always loved the MK jokes but not the finishers). I just want Mortal Kombat not to have those dumb finishers, I don't mind the other shit tho. Do you understand what I am trying to say?

EDIT: You know what dude, that last part got to me man. I guess I am going to learn to like them since you think that bekause I don't want anyone to think that about me. I guess I should start out by saying Kung Lao's Friendship is my favorite and Sheeva's Babailty is the funniest.

@Black Cybrog, either way I will see it when people use it on me online or offline. Kan't run away from it.
