Ah, yeah, you're right. I apparently skipped over where it says Retro Ninja. c almost certainly means classic. So, those characters will have Classic DLC alternates. But what's up with Quan Chi's alternate (if that's what b means) being DLC and Cyber SubZero being listed as DLC?

Maybe, just MAYBE, to please some die-hard fans that want a PURE MK3 experience with this game they made all extra characters optional downloads, so that everyone has the choice to have a normal select screen or a more updated and wacky one.

I'm definitely with you on that one.
What is with people being excited about Babalities? I wasn't keen on Friendships either, but at least they're amusing if done well. Babalities, however, wore out their welcome for me after MK2. Nostalgia doesn't make them any more appealing.

Another confirmation of Smoke makes me happy though. Can't wait to see him!

PS:
I believe that any "IsOnDiscDLC" characters appearing again as "IsDLC" refers to alternate costumes. Mileena, Kitana and Jade actually appear twice as "IsOnDiscDLC", so their second appearance is again a reference to alternate costumes IMO, except ones that are already on the disc. I presume if you want alternates for Quan Chi and SZ, you will have to download them.
